Over at the Hideout Pizza and Grill in Anaheim, California french fries are seasoned. I have to say that these are some of the best french fries I've eaten from a fast food place.
I will say that they could have come with more ketchup, but dang these were good.
I was at work drinking my rip it Energy Fuel G-Force Grape and one of the guards said "rip it, that's the crap I had over seas" only he swore a good deal more and got nasty.
As energy drinks go this stuff isn't that strong and as grape soda goes it's not that great. The only saving grace of these things is that you have an energy drink in grape soda so if you like grape soda your in luck.
As for me, these were two for a dollar so I got a bunch of them.
Lady Liberty Tortilla Chips Jalapeno & Cheese struck me as something I wouldn't want to eat. Now after having a bag or two I wish I had gotten more of them. They're a little like Doritos only with just the right amount of kick for a white dude who is not to big on peppers.
Farmer Boys Patty Melt is a pretty solid sandwich with it's crunchy bread and beefy beef. On days that I feel like crap this may just do to pick me up. The sourdough is a bit bland and if you want that to have a strong flavor look elsewhere.
All and all, I would get this again.
The Hideout Pizza & Grill in Anaheim is open until three in the morning on many a day and if you go there you may just run into me. Their Pizza is cheesy and oily like pizza should be and I used the crust to scoop up the cheese that came off. SO much cheese.
Michelina's Pop'n Chicken is the kind of nightmare food you would expect to get at a summer camp where they are trying to save money by feeding the kids less.
Those smiley things which look like they would torture your soul in hell are made of potatoes. The chicken is hardly worth the name.
Are these bad, well bad for you they are, but they taste okay. I just feel odd eating food that shouldn't have a face but has a face. I mean, this stuff is just wrong.
Farmer Boys Vanilla Shake is a thing that is there to make it exist. Vanilla isn't white. It comes from a bean that is black and should leave some kind of black spots. Is this a fail? No, it's just okay.
Farmer Boys has this Sourdough Chicken Avocado Sandwich which is lacking in the Sourdough department. I mean, it wasn't sour at all. The whole point of the sourdough is to give the sandwich and extra edge of flavor which it failed to do. Other than that, good sandwich. Nothing to tell your mom about.
Lindt Little Chicks are a mild slim chocolate and the artificial flavors stand through. I mean, these aren't that great. I wouldn't get these again because they're just not that great, but if you have kids you don't like they won't notice.
Yes this Hamlet brand Belgian chocolate has a name. That bunny is Speedy, and he's sure to make your Easter party just a little more classy.
Now Speedy is not as rich as a Hershey's chocolate, but will certainly get the job done of rotting your teeth. This is a great chocolate for black coffee or red wine and is a cut above most of the normal holiday fair.
I took that box in the background to work and everyone said "Free chocolate!" and stopped fighting for a whole day.
Why do we eat adorable bunnies on Easter? I mean, when you a kid you don't think about it but now as an adult I think it's a little messed up. Then again, we eat all kinds of things made of chocolate and we eat bunnies in real life so I guess it's okay. This Hamlet Belgian Chocolate Bunny is good milk chocolate...even if it feels odd to bight the poor things head off.
Peeps Pancakes & Syrup because there is no thing more not worth eating than Peeps so we need to make them taste better or look dumber. Well, I can sure taste the syrup.
Ferrero Eggs Cocoa are a dark chocolate Easter treat sure to make you look like you're eating poop. If the dang things weren't really good they would make me sick to look at someone eating them.
Now, as chocolat goes these are not a sweet as a Cadbury Egg, but they have a more complex flavor for the more discerning pallet. In short, I think these are more for grown ups than for kids on Easter.
Then again, if these are at a good price your kids won't care.
Cadbury Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs are like M&M's. Are they better than M&M's? No, but the holiday gives us a reason to pig out and these are holiday themed Calories.
That said, these are really good but don't leave them in the refrigerator after you open them because they pick up flavors.
In the world of snack food there are few things I find as hard to understand as Peeps. I mean, I thought that you were only supposed to use them as decoration. I couldn't figure eaten them out of anything but pure hunger. We should ship these to starving people.
Then they go and cover them in chocolate and I'm like, 'wow, tasty," I guess that goes to show that you should eat them with other stuff. I still wouldn't want Peeps, and I would be pissed at you for getting them for me, but these are good.
You can really taste the milk in this 'Dove Solid Milk Chocolate Bunny' and at more than seven hundred Calories you should be able to. Yeah, yeah, the pack says 240 but that's per serving and this is three servings.
In any case, this stuff makes me long for coffee and so I eat it with coffee. This is a great thing to share with a friend over a good cup of Joe. Don't try and take a bite out of this if you keep it in the refrigerator. Thing will be hard enough to hurt your teeth.
If your idea of an Easter treat is a sticky chocolateish pile of mush then Russell Stover Strawberry Cream Eggs are for you. I mean, yeah, they taste good but they don't come out of the pack all that well and your date will be trying to get her hands clean and complaining.
Giving these to kids will fair you no better as they will make an enormous mess. Fail.
Denny's Tropical Green Smoothy is green goop in a glass. It is okay tasting green goop, but it is still goop. I don't think it's worth it. Get a salad and drink water.
Fun fact for you, hush puppies were first made to quiet dogs at out door fish fries. Anyway, Denny's Strawberry Puppies are all kinds of puppy and no kind of strawberry. I don't mind that much, but it may be a big thing to you.
That dip will only get on the puppy if you bite into it first, so that's a negative. All and all, these are okay, not stellar but I would get them again.
Chick-fil-A Honey Mustard is very honey and just enough mustered to make it work. I never had this on hash browns before, but I had to admit that it works. Good stuff.
Hershey's Kisses Carrot Cake Candy are the kind of abomination that shows us just how far candy makers are willing to fall from the original to sell you crap.
In case you want to know, these are NOT chocolate. They have no chocolate in them what so ever. I'm not saying how white chocolate is not chocolate either. I mean, these things are just palm oil.
Do they taste okay? Yeah, but not as good as chocolate and so still a let down.
Chick-fil-A Hash Browns are so out of the freezer that they're hardly worth the calories. If it weren't for the fact that these are a good way to get a review for the sauce I'd never order them again.
Are they bad? No, just a bit frost bitten. Better than high school tater tots.
Chick-fil-A Frosted Key Lime is tart, green, and cold. I don't know why anyone would like this, but if it's your thing it's your thing. It wasn't very sweet, but was still all kinds of calories.
At work my fellow guards said that I had to try Chick-fil-A...also they said I had to try pot, but that was a much longer conversation. In any case, the Chicken Biscuit is not going to take the title of king from the clown when it comes to your morning meal.
That is one good biscuit, sure, and the chicken is great. Put them together, and it all disintegrates in your hand when you try to eat it. I had crumbs all over my uniform.
Victoria Penne Alla Vodka pasta in sauce is for those who are too lazy to make it on their own an don't have a freezer. I mean, if there was an earthquake you'd be good eating this out of the jar.
Past that, I had some, it was okay, then I left it in the refrigerator and forgot about it. Stuff is okay.
Milk Chocolate M&M's Eggs are a lazy attempt at Easter candy given that they are just big M&M's in a funny shell. If your thing was "I like M&M's but there is too much candy shell" then these are your jam.
That said, dude you got some funny jam going on their. Eat some vegetables.
The Gamesa Mamut is some kind of moon pie I ran into at the discount store and they were there because the box got crushed. These are not for grown folks to have because they just don't do well with coffee. They also don't have tusks, fur, or are giant herbivores. I know, I was disappointed as well.
The Habit Burger Grill Tri-Tip Steak is a mess that got all over my uniform. It was good meat for this but still got all over my uniform. It was a nasty mess that I felt wasn't worth eating.
In the world of suck one thing that stands out is hot dog buns that don't keep your ketchup in. Old Home Hot Dog Enriched Buns are such buns. I mean, why have a bun if you get crap all over you?
Over at Ted's Burgers in Anaheim you can get some really good food. The fish and chips is not something I'm putting on that list. The fish is on the small side and clearly out of a box. Is it bad, no, but it's not totally killer like some of the other food here.
