Idahoan Sour Cream & Chives Mashed Potatoes

 Oh how I love Idahoan Sour Cream & Chives Mashed Potatoes. The only thing that would have made them better is if they tasted like Sour Cream & Chives. I mean, they are still good mashed potatoes, but their namesake flavor was missing. That said, I would still get these again.

New Wave Blackberry Soda

 New Wave Blackberry Soda is hippy bug juice. I can't figure why a normal person would drink this but the low sugar makes it so bug juice that the only way to drink a whole can would be to add something that tastes better. 

I will grant this is better for you than normal soda because of the low sugar content. Too bad it tastes like crap.

Mtn Dew Flamin' Hot

 Mtn Dew Flamin' Hot is a cinnamon hot flavor that isn't all that hot. I have to admit that I liked it, not as much as normal Mtn Dew, but it wasn't bad. I don't think it tastes anything like the flamin' hot chips or whatever have you, but I don't like those things anyway.

This is worth trying. I wouldn't say I'd get it again, but it was a fun think to drink. 

Garrett Valley Farms Smoked Polska Kielbasa

Garrett Valley Farms Smoked Polska Kielbasa is antibiotic free so I guess it's hippy meat. It tastes as good as any Kielbasa I've had. I think that's a win. The bar is set kind of low for hippy food, because if it just tastes like food then you can live a better life without harming the world we live on. 

I got a mess of these for a low price, because they had been a production overrun and the store had to get rid of them. I can't imagine why because this is good stuff. 
 

ZOA Healthy Warrior Energy Drinks Lemon Lime

ZOA Lemon Line tastes like watered down lemon lime soda. Other than the can being really cool I don't think it gave me the energy to take on the world but then again I got another case of ZOA but different flavors to try. 

The truth is, it's not as good as monster, but it's not bad. 
 

Rick's Drive In & Out #4

Over at Rick's Drive In & Out Los Angeles this is a number four. There are a few other Rick's Drive In & Outs in the LA area. So, to be clear, this is a good old fashioned American meal with no real odd bits to it. I mean, they did nothing interesting with it, and that's fine but that's what makes it hard to say you should go to Rick's. 

If you go to this place then you get what you expect, but I can't find a reason for you to go looking for this place.
 

Signature Select Strawberry Soda

 Signature Select Strawberry Soda is as good as a strawberry soda is really going to be. I mean, what makes a strawberry soda all that good to start with. Even the most name brand of strawberry soda is known for its orange.

So, yeah, I really like strawberry soda, and this is good stuff. Give it a chance in your caffeine free moments few as they are.

Bistro Sensations Mozzarella Chicken Sausage

The first thing that happened when I bit into my Bistro Sensations Mozzarella Chicken Sausage was that I got a burst of hot molten cheese on my face. I had first degree burns.

 These sausages taste great, but the cheese makes no impact on how good they are. I mean, buy them, sure, let them cool a bit so you don't burn yourself. Just don't think the cheese is a big thing.

Frazil Simply Mango

The Simply Mango Frazil normal comes in a smaller cup and can be found at some gas stations. Why haven't they made mango a thing in all gas station I couldn't tell you. I mean, really this was just made for mango. It would also be very good with some tequila, but I guess that would be a lot harder to find. 

One thing I noticed about this was that a good amount of it was ice and the flavor separated and went to the bottom. It gave me a brain freeze, but I blame myself for that.  

On a hot day you just got to try one of these because they will keep you cool.
 

Colliders Heath Refrigerated Dessert

Of all the versions of Colliders Refrigerated Desserts I have tried I like the Heath the best. Yeah, sure, it feels like someone sat on a heath bar then emptied the wrapper over some pudding but the chocolate and caramel make a great combination to add flavor. 

If you want to try one of these Colliders I think this is the best one. Good stuff ... but I'm a big fat dude so you should try it yourself to be sure. 
 

Austin Market Noodles & Chicken

Austin Market? Well, I guess if there can be a Boston Market there can be an Austin Market. What really feels odd is the fact that they put the noodles before the chicken. 

In any case, this stuff is bland, otherwise fine, but it could use some pepper or onions or something. This is the kind of food you eat to stay alive. It isn't bad but it isn't very good.
 

Fast Bite Grilled Chicken Sandwich

 A 'Fast Bite Grilled Chicken Sandwich' comes with a cheese that becomes it's own living all consuming thing in your microwave but the same nuclear fire that brings it to life will then kill it and leave it splatter all over your microwavable plate. 

If you're then okay with eating a sandwich covered in a dead alien blob this is the sandwich for you. I mean, in truth these are fine, not killer, but good enough to get you past a long shift at work. 

Mi Fondita de Hacienda Heights Nachos

 At Mi Fondita de Hacienda Heights you can get a plate of these early in the morning and be unable to finish them. You would think this would be no problem for a blob like me but this was a lot of food.

You go to this place and it's like a convenience store and grill. The staff is friendly and there is a lot of food. I think I'll go again.

Garrett Valley Farms Sugar Free Dry Rubbed Bacon

 Growing up as a Reform Jew my mother never shied away from bacon. She never cooked it either because the poor woman never really learned how to cook. I still have to cook it when naked to keep from burning it myself.

Yeah, that's a trick, if you feel the bacon popping the heat is too high. You want it crisp not burnt. Now if I can only get a handle on cracking an egg one handed.

Anyway, Garrett Valley Farms Sugar Free Dry Rubbed Bacon tastes like bacon. I like to keep this around to use up the vegan burgers I buy for this blog. Nothing spices up a vegan burger like some bacon grease. I know that defeats the point but those vegan burgers can really be bad.

Anyway, this bacon tastes like bacon. Who knew?

 

Tam's Burger Chili Cheese Fries

I was out with a friend, and he decided to pay at Tam's Burger so I got one of the less expensive items on the menu which was the Chili Cheese Fries. "Is that all your having?' he asked me and then it came and was more than I could finish.

These are about as good as they look. Not hot enough to melt the cheese and without enough chili. The chili was also very mild.  

I can't say I loved these, but I can't say I disliked them. They stand in the middle ground of being very satisfying but not that great.  

The Meatless Farm Co. Meat Free Sausage Patties

The Meatless Farm Co. Meat Free Sausage Patties are not that great. they are not bad at all, but they are not real sausage, and you can tell. 

Truth is that I wouldn't mind eating these every now and then if it were not for the fact that I almost never eat sausage at home and when I do I need to try new sausage for all of you. 

The world changes when you need to have a new experience every day.
 

Rockstar Sugar Free Energy Drink

 Of all the things we drink that look like piss Rockstar Sugar Free Energy Drink is likely the most offensive to me. Sugar free drinks give me the runs. Worse, those runs will be red oily and burn. 

So, why did I try this? Because it was on sale with a bunch of other Rockstars and I got it by accident. Don't look at me like that. 

Anyway, you crash from Rockstar with sugar so this is better than that but a far degree. Still, I would never drink more than two of these a week. 

Pop Tarts Frosted Boston Cream Donut

 If you told a man from Boston that these were Boston Cream Donut Pop Tarts I think they would be offended. There is almost no cream in their. There is never enough filling in these things if you ask me, but then all that filling is just sugar. 

These are a fail and a hard fail at that. After eating them I want to go get a real Boston Cream just to remember what they taste like and I have never been big on them.  

Also, I am to fat to eat doughnuts or Pop Tars. 

Gold Star Hamburger Pastrami

The Pastrami at Gold Star Hamburger in Glendale California is a big slop of wet meat on a bun that will get saturated by the time you finish eating it. Thing left a puddle of grease on my tray. This wouldn't be a bad thing if you didn't have to ask to be let into the restrooms at Gold Star. 

I wouldn't get this again mostly because of how much got on my hands and not in my mouth, but this is still a lot of sandwich.
 

Pura Cucumber Lime Soda

 Pura Cucumber Lime Soda is surprisingly good for cucumber soda. Normally, cucumber things taste old but lime tends to stop that so this is a good mix. I have to admit that I like this stuff. It's not as rich as most sodas but I fined it refreshing. 

Pura as a brand is really growing on me. It tastes good and is fewer calories than normal soda. I have to say if you can you should try some and it may just be a whole lot better for you. 

Dessert Italiano Tiramisu Cups

 At your local Costco you may find Dessert Italiano Tiramisu Cups. This is Tiramisu in real glass cups that you can use for small cocktails when you finish the Tiramisu. I expected this to be a lot more rich than it was but they were still light and delicious. 

The glasses are also great if you're into candle making or art projects of that nature. They are much better quality than I thought they would be. I'm going to use them to make pudding.

All in all, this is just one more thing I shouldn't buy because I'm fat. Oh so fat. I feel ashamed that I ate these.  

Inked Organics Great White Bread

So far as I can tell Inked Organics Great White Bread is white bread. It is a little on the spongy side which is a good thing. It tastes nothing like the shark on the bag. I'm not sure I would want to eat shark bread but, let's be honest here, that bag is cool. 

All around this is good bread but you don't buy it because of it's flavor. You buy Inked Organics bread because of what it represents which is clean living. 

White bread isn't all that good for you, but you're not going to find bread better than this.
 

Gold Star Hamburger Fried Zucchini

 The Fried Zucchini at Gold Star Hamburger in Glendale California is a big plate of much to be desired. I mean, I couldn't finish them but they were bland and some were squishy. 

One thing I have to be honest about is I only order Zucchini to review it and have never had much love for the stuff. However, this just got my hands all nasty and would have been hard to eat without the ranch it came with. 

Ball Park Everything Hamburger Buns

 If the same old bun just isn't working for you try these Ball Park Everything Hamburger Buns. They are a legitimately flavorful addition to your burger. Of all the buns I've eaten these really stand out. They don't taste like everything bagels, but I often find they have too much onion on everything bagels. 

Ball Park Everything Hamburger Buns have enough flavor to make your burger better without being overbearing or intrusive. 

Great product. 

New Wave Soda Cola

 New Wave Soda Cola is hippy bug juice. Yeah, it has less sugar but it doesn't taste as good as even the worst generic cola I've had. If the whole point of this is to have something to dilute your alcohol the the alcohol you add to this needs to be on the sugary side. 

Someone really needs to tell New Wave that taste is number one with any food item. This stuff doesn't taste good. 

Near East Rice Pilaf Mix Garlic and Herb

 Near East Rice Pilaf Mix Garlic and Herb hasn't much the flavor of garlic or herb. Mostly it just tastes like salty rice. It also looks nothing like the rice from the pack being darker in color and more homogeneous. 

I would have to recommend adding in some vegetables and making a fried rice to spread out all that salt. Past that, this stuff works okay as a side dish. I mean, it's no big thing but it does get the job done. 

Inked Bread Co. Organics Serious Cinna’ Seeds Bread

 Inked Bread Co. Organics Serious Cinna’ Seeds Bread is a cinnamon bread with seed to make it a hearty bread even as it has small slices. This is some really good stuff. I would have to say this is great bread and if I didn't need to try something new all the time this would go on my buy list for the rest of my life.

Naya Cauliflower Hummus Green Olives

 Naya Cauliflower Hummus Green Olives is the kind of thing I can take or leave without thinking much about it. It has a strong flavor of the preserved green fruit that it is supposed to taste like.

I still have to ask why, all of a sudden, we are obsessed with cauliflower? Then again, why not cauliflower I guess.

Banquet Chicken Strips Meal

 Banquet Chicken Strips Meal has some of the most 'not chicken' I've ever tasted. I mean, I think it was chicken paste at some point which is not at all what it looks like on the box. 

This is food for the poor sad and lonely and more or less something they would feed to the children that they didn't want. I ate a lot of these sorts of things when I was a kid and I paid for it in constipation. 

My mother, lord rest her, was not much of a cook even if she tried very hard to be a good one. 

For a grown human, I would say you need to add some vegetables to this or it just won't fill you up. Now, that could be because I'm an all consuming blob or it could be because these just aren't enough for a grown man.

Blueberry Lemonade Bliss Slurpee

Over at your local '7 Eleven' the Blueberry Lemonade Bliss Slurpee may be available. I found this to have too much flavor and not enough refreshing as the flavor is liquid, and the water is ice. That means your basically drinking syrup from the bottom. 

This is not to say that this isn't a good thing to have on a hot day, but I drank it at night. This is no improvement over the classic flavors and I wouldn't get it again. Then again, I should keep clear of the sugar water even if it is slush.
 

Cheetos Mac'N Cheese Cheesy Jalapeno

How do you improve on a classic, well, you don't, but Cheetos Mac'N Cheese Cheesy Jalapeno was different if not better than the original. A fat blob like myself shouldn't eat Mac'N Cheese anyway but I have to admit this was good enough to buy again. 

I didn't by it again, but I got two boxes and used them both.
