Baily's Pumpkin Spice Limited Edition

It didn't take me long to figure how Baily's 'Pumpkin Spice' was a Limited Edition. The flavor is just not strong enough to make this anything, but a stand alone drink. 

I've seen cheaper and better examples of this kind of drink so I just can't recommend a shot of this in your coffee to keep the party going on Halloween. 

Still, if you want to drink this on it's own or over some coffee ice it's worth a try. 

Little Debbie Pumpkin Delights

Little Debbie's Pumpkin Delights sounds like a euphemism for something I don't want to put in my mouth. This will almost certainly be on the shelf for the next few weeks, and they look nothing like the picture on the pack. 

That said they don't taste like they have pumpkin in them, and they are under seasoned. I don't dislike them, but I don't love them ether.  

Cadbury Screme Eggs

Cadbury Screme Eggs are the Halloween version of this Easter treat and if I were blindfolded I have to say I wouldn't know the difference. I'll grant you that the old Caburys are less then what they were hen I was a kid, but these are okay.

If you can't get enough of them chocolate eggs then reach for these, but if not you should probably keep these out of your house. Things are just bad for you. 

Swedish Fish

Swedish Fish are a kind of wine gum or gumdrop. They have a cherry flavor and are otherwise unremarkable. I've seen those "friend you can eat" ads for these and I think they stink, because Swedish Fish can't come and help you move a couch. 

I don't want to eat any of my friends...well, not consume them anyway but these are a take it or leave it sort of candy. 

Lifesaver Gummies

Lifesaver Gummies are a kind of fruit snack that masquerades as a natural product when it's just candy, and you, or rather I, shouldn't be eating candy.

Can I say that these are good? No, not really. These are the candy that will sit until last in your Halloween bag and then get packed in kids lunches. 

Give these to the kids that you don't like so they will get fat and die young...or not, not is good too. 

Haribo Golden Bears

Haribo Golden Bears are knock offs of the good old Gummy Bear. I find these to be chewy and flavorful, but they don't taste as good as the real thing. 

I grant that these came in a Halloween bag and are candy that I gave to other people, but understand that I'm really saying that I don't like my neighbors. Well, I don't like kids coming to my home asking for a handout.  

Hot Tamales

Hot Tamales are cinnamon candy with artificial flavor. Given that cinnamon is made of tree bark that idea sits poorly with me.  In any case, you like these or you don't and I'd rather have real cinnamon so I kind of don't. 

Mike and Ike Original Fruits

Mike and Ike Original Fruits are one of those candies you just don't think about. The lime is lime, the orange is tang, the lemon tastes like furniture polish. 

The whole thing about candy, as an adult, is that it should bring me back to the days when I didn't have bills are responsibility. These just make me fat.

If you want to get fat these are okay candy. If you like a long life these are not that great. 

Brach's Classic Candy Corn

Brach's Classic Candy Corn will make the little ghouls and goblins that come to your door demanding sugar happy and keep egg off your walls. 

I think the whole thing about candy corn is that you can't get it most of the year so people are always happy to see it until it's out of stores. You know, like that uncle that no one likes but is happy to see during the holidays.

This stuff is firm and robust by comparison to First Street Candy Corn with a more complex flavor. 

First Street Candy Corn

If you want to see a child's eyes light up as you slowly poison them get yourself some First Street Candy Corn this Halloween. 

I can stand this stuff but only just, and I think it's just basically sugar. Well, candy is a low bar to get over. Sugar, food coloring, and, well, that's all you need. 

Sour Patch Kids

Sour Patch Kids are a sour flavored wine gum or gum drop loved by fat kids and internet movie reviewers everywhere. I will have to say that these stand out as a unique fruit flavored candy that is great to have in concert with other candy for it's pallet cleansing properties. 

They are still bad for you, but they got style. 

Nestle Seriously Strawberry Nerds

Nestle Seriously Strawberry Nerds are a tart lump of sugar with very little strawberry. I have to ask it the seriously was added because someone didn't believe that there was much in the way of strawberry in there candy. 

My understanding is that you get really into Nerds or they do nothing for you. As for me, these little things get everywhere and no matter how I eat them I don't like them much.

Hershey's Kisses Pumpkin Spice

Hershey's Kisses are some of the greatest candies of all the world. The Pumpkin Spice version are things you should only eat if you are starving and have no other form of food. I dump these in my coffee to get rid of them.  

You would expect these to be pumpkin spice chocolate but you'd be wrong and the combination of oil and corn syrup makes for a lesser candy that should never have been torn from the pit of human imagination. 

Monster Punch Mad Dog

'Punch' is a group of flavors in the Monster Energy line and 'Mad Dog' is what would happen if Monster where used to make grape Kool Aid. So, it reminds me of grape pez, I have never understood pez or why monster tastes like it, but if there is a thing as grape pez then this reminds me of it.   

Past that, this worked as well as monster works. 

Sbarro Sausage, Pepperoni and Bacon Stromboli

Sbarro Sausage, Pepperoni and Bacon Stromboli is on the bland side for haveing sausage. I will point out that this food cries "Merica" before getting grease on your shirt and jumping down your face making you want more. 

Sbarro Mushroom Pizza

Sbarro Mushroom Pizza looks better than it is. That is not to say that it is bad it just looks kickn' when it's just good. 

Stone Oven BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwich

Stone Oven BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwich is one of those really great sandwiches. Crisp Onions, BBQ sauce and the like. I feel it could have really benefited from some toasted quinoa but that's just me. 

Power Bar Protein Plus Bar Chocolate Peanut Butter

Power Bar Protein Plus Bar Chocolate Peanut Butter is a crappy candy bar. I guess people like to eat these now but I like my Power Bars disgusting so I only eat them when I workout ... which is almost never. 

Choco Vine Espresso

Dude, Choco Vine Espresso is chocolate Baily's Irish Cream! Buy! Buy!

Slim Jim Bacon Jerky Maple Flavored Bacon Jerky

Slim Jim Bacon Jerky Maple Flavored Bacon Jerky gets bacon on the cover as much as they can. I mean look at that. "Bacon Jerky" "Maple Flavored Bacon Jerky" well, we know there is bacon in it right. I mean, can you be sure? 

In any case, it tastes okay. 

Sbarro Salad

Salad is not lettuce and croutons. This Sbarro Salad is as not salad as it can be without not looking like salad. I mean, come on, throw something in there like carrots or tomatoes.  

Sbarro Meatball Pizza

Sbarro in general reheats it's pizza so take into account that this has been reheated and is not fresh. That said the meatball pizza is a great idea. Definitely a win.

Mountain Dew Voltage

Mountain Dew Voltage is better than the original in that it does not look like urine. Not looking like something that came out of a dogs dork is definitely a good thing. 

I would even call it a less intrusive flavor. I had most of this with vodka and it worked well so if your getting the party started then reaching for this is a good move. 

Past that I can take it or leave it. 

Yoshinoya Beef Bowl Large

Do you want the lowest quality beef to come exclusively from a cow? Well, Yoshinoya Beef Bowl is just what you've been looking for! Don't eat this, it half made me sick and half made me want to eat somewhere else. 

Veri Organic Low Calorie Cola

Veri Organic Low Calorie Cola is one of those products that you want to be good. You want it to be good so bad, but it's not good, because normal soda is so much richer. 

If you're going to have this use it to keep your kids away from soda or have it with a sweet alcohol. 

Good Thins The Beet One Balsamic Vinegar and Sea Salt

Good Thins 'The Beet One' 'Balsamic Vinegar and Sea Salt' are some crazy hipster food that should be healthy. Are they? Meh, still a carbohydrate. 

These chips are slightly sweet but on the whole neutral enough to take most flavors. I will say if you don't get your vegetables in I think these are better than nothing and better for you than plain crackers but not as good for you as real beets.   

Forking Good Cafe Breakfast Pizza Green Eggs and Ham

A few days before I walked into Forking Good Cafe in uptown Whittier California I was asked if I would try "Green Eggs & Ham". Well, yes I would, Sam I Am.

Then I opened up the Forking Good menu and there it was telling me to put my money where my mouth is. This was great. 

I will say the greens were a bit much and had to be eaten before I finished the pizza rather than on slice. There was an egg in the middle that was runny. All in all, this was a new dining experience for me and I don't get those often.

Forking Good Cafe Churro Latte

Forking Good Cafe's Churro Latte is a thing that exists. It was oddly pedestrian for being a Latte, but my brother liked it so much he had a second one. Me I can't see the appeal of spending more then four bucks for a coffee that tastes like sugar and cinnamon. I'm one of those odd folks who like coffee to taste like coffee.  

Forking Good Cafe Water

Forking Good Cafe in Uptown Whittier California serves water in these jars. This could be good. This could be bad. I'd ask for some ice if I were you. As for me, I was too busy checking out the waitress. 

Core Organic Energy Pomegranate Blue Acai

Core Organic Energy Pomegranate Blue Acai is a fruity beverage that will not keep you up at night. It may give you a boost but not like Monster or Rockstar. What you're looking at here is fruit punch that will get you going if you don't like vegetables.  

Stuft Pizza The Pearly White

Stuft Pizza in Whittier California serves a Pearly White pizza topped with tomatoes that is oddly satisfying for not having meat. It is the kind of pizza that will haunt your dreams.

Stuft is a premium pizza place that  charges more so be ready to pay if you're getting this for your Halloween party but definitely get one. Once slice of this pizza will give you cheesy dreams of garlic and olive oil.
