Hillshire Farm Beef Lit'l Smokies Smoked Sausage

I have never understood cocktail wieners. What does one really do with them. If I had a dog I guess they would be okay as dog treats. These Hillshire Farm Beef Lit'l Smokies Smoked Sausage are salty little things with enough oil to leave a thick slick in the pan.

I had trouble getting them cooked to my liking, but I guess they were okay. My cats didn't think much of them.

I wouldn't get these again.

Hillshire Farm Ultra Thin Sliced Roast Beef

Hillshire Farm Ultra Thin Sliced Roast Beef was on sale, because it was close to it's sell by date, and I figured maybe my cats would eat it. They do, to be honest, they really do. It was a good buy.

Stuff was wet and soft, but I think that's how deli meat should be. It wasn't so soft that it broke up when I  put it on my bread. There were a few bits that didn't want to chew down, but over all it was fine.

I would say that you can get better, but that this isn't bad, and it comes in a box you can reuse, so that's a plus. This isn't the kind of meat you put on crackers but it gets the job done and pets like it too.

Hillshire Farm Roasted Garlic Chicken Smoked Sausage

I found this Hillshire Farm Roasted Garlic Chicken Smoked Sausage in the back of my refrigerator and wondered if it was still good. I mean, it smelled like sausage. I ate it and I didn't get sick. It was, however, really salty.

I mean, maybe it was the fact that I hadn't had fast food in long enough to decrees my salt tolerance. Eat vegetables for a few days and you will find most fat food tastes very salty.

I think that's how vegans get by. Cut out the salt and you taste so much more. Food needs little salt to change the flavor, but the salt really makes flavors pop.

Anyway, this needed more of a garlic flavor to really get it going, and I didn't taste that. Maybe it was too old. Hillshire Farm is normally a very solid brand.

Hillshire Farm Cheddarwurst Links

Hillshire Farm Cheddarwurst Links tastes like hot dogs. They kind of are hot dogs but the fact that they taste like hot dogs makes the chedderwurst part a little silly.

This stuff is kind of meh and so if you find it cheap then buy it, but at the normal price it's no better than any other winner.

Hillshire Farm Yard-O-Beef

When I think back on my youth one of the odd products that showed up around Christmas was this Hillshire Farm Yard-O-Beef. They were bigger back then and no amount of nuking the things could get the oil to stop flowing out of them.

This is a lot dryer than those where but it still makes for a great mix with good old rice and peas. I bet these are terrible for you but a little goes a long way flavor-wiz.
