Seattle’s Best Toasted Hazelnut Coffee

Seattle’s Best Toasted Hazelnut Coffee smells of hazelnut. Well, it smells like hazelnut coffee which has a clear smell to it.

It tastes nothing like hazelnut coffee, and being a light roast it doesn’t taste that much like coffee. Not everyone likes their coffee black as death like me.

This was on sale and it is coffee in a time when coffee is more expensive, and I’m glad to have it on the cheap. I would drink this myself but I wouldn’t serve it to a guest.

Kahlua Peppermint Mocha

I just had to have a white Russian so I got me some Kahlua but all they had was the Peppermint Mocha kind and I'm not disappointed.
I'm having this in my coffee as I write this. Good stuff.

As a mix or as a shooter this is sweet and smooth. The peppermint is not overpowering and the mocha is subtle. This is a great buy and if you wait until after Christmas it goes on sale but last the whole year.

Trader Joe's Fair Trade Organic Guatemalan Coffee

Trader Joe's 'Fair Trade Organic Guatemalan Coffee' is an extra dark roast which is normally my favorite kind. The thing about this coffee is that the smell is less than encouraging and the flavor is far more delicate than that of other coffees.

If you have a dark setting on your coffee maker don't use it with this brew. This coffee will also oxidize faster than other coffees which will make it taste burnt faster.

This is a great coffee for the mixer or coffee with sugar drinker, but for those of us who have it black it's best to look else where. So drop in some Irish Cream to make this a top notch experience.

Trader Joe's House Blend Dark Roast Coffee

I may have already Reviewed Trader Joe's House Blend Dark Roast Coffee, but if you're reading this on New Year's Eve you can't possibly care because you'll soon be to drunk to notice.

In any case, this is a strong coffee that fits for waking you up after that night of drinking and getting you off to work even with that hangover. Don't try drinking pickle juice.

I mean, really, have a coffee, a tomato juice, and some eggs. That will get you through.

Trader Joe's Gingerbread Coffee

If you were hoping to add some spice to your holiday with Trader Joe's Gingerbread Coffee you'll need to do so with a great deal of sugar or hard eggnog because this is a poorly conceived brew that has little resemblance to the food of its namesake.

The ginger is dull and tastes chemical in nature and the other spices are undetectable. Give this a pass or sugar the hell out of it.

Patron XO Cafe Dark Cocoa

Patron 'XO Cafe Dark Cocoa' is a rich sweet alcohol that can be had in shots or in place of Kahlua. Only this stuff makes Kahlua look like crap. Patron is a much better, smoother, and refined drink sure to get the party started. If you're an early drinker or coffee enthusiast you absolutely have to try this stuff because it's great.

Trader Joe's Wintry Blend Ground Coffee Sprinkled with Spice

Trader Joe's "Wintry Blend" Ground Coffee Sprinkled with Spice is an odd coffee blend. The big standout for me is that it has green and red pepper which I have never seen in coffee before. I can tell you that if you're reading this on national hangover day (Second of the New Year) you'll do well to get yourself a cup of this coffee...an some tomato juice.

I've had this for almost a week now and tried it every way but Irish and it works. I've made it with eggnog and coco. Both do very well. Great coffee.

Taco Bell Iced Regular Coffee

Taco Bell Iced Regular Coffee is unremarkable, unflavored, and basically there if you don't like hot coffee. I would not recommend this unless you want a low calorie caffeine boost.

Panera Bread Caramel Latte

The Panera Bread Caramel Latte looks nothing like the picture online. At Three Hundred and ninety food calories I would also have to point out that it's much more calories than a soda and a good deal less refreshing.

I didn't think much of this offering from Panera Bread and health wise you should be more interested in the smoothies than this liquid candy.

Trader Joe's Bay Blend Ultra Dark Roast Coffee

Trader Joe's Bay Blend Ultra Dark Roast Coffee is dark as death but smooth. It isn't bitter or acid heavy at all. I rarely buy this because it's not fair trade, but when I do it's a coffee to remember.

I have to say, if you like dark coffee and you don't try this you're cheating yourself. This goes on my buy list.

Carl's Jr. Coffee

Carl's Jr. is very proud of their Colombian Blend Coffee, but if I'm not mistaken Colombia needs to grow food and not coffee as the people are starving. As coffee goes this is fine but I can't get passed the human rights issues.

Baileys' Espresso Creme

Baileys' Espresso Creme is a coffee cream liqueur. I know, I know, it says it in the title and this something a long time coming.

To be honest I think this stuff is a great way to relax if you take it over coffee ice like I do.

It's hard to go wrong with Baileys' so if you like coffee have at it!

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Spice Coffee

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Spice Coffee is another soldier in the pumpkin spice pocolips but less of a fanatic than other spicers. You can taste very little of the spice, and so this is more of a novelty than anything else.  I wouldn't get it again but it was worth buying for the novelty.

Equal Exchange Organic Midnight Sun French Roast Coffee

Equal Exchange Organic Midnight Sun French Roast Coffee is a mouthful of a name for a coffee that my brother got himself ten pounds of. It's good but not as strong as I would want a French Roast to be and has no distinct flavor.

Now I love coffee, but with this brand there is so much to have that I would recommend something that stands out more. Still, it is good coffee.

Equal Exchange Proud Mamma Organic Fair Trade Coffee

One of Equal Exchange’s African coffees grown in Uganda this brew has a lighter sent than most, but the folks at my work mentioned that they loved it when I brewed this for them.

My brother wasn’t impressed, but then I think he and I like coffee black as death. I’d say this stuff is worth a try if you’re into fine coffee like I am, but I’m not making it a regular on my buy list.
