Saffron Road Vegetable Bibimbap

 Saffron Road Vegetable Bibimbapn is the kind of thing that is just slopped together and not mixed so that the flavor can really be inconsistent. It is a little on the spicy side. I'm not a big fan of Tofu but it has almost no flavor and will simply taste like the spicy sauce. 

This is not my cup of tea. The rice is soggy, as are the vegetables, and the whole thing just falls flat.  

It is edible, which says a lot for frozen food, but it isn't good either.  

In a world were people need food and this is food you may find this at the right price. If you do, it will keep you alive, but will life be worth living if you have to eat this? 

Hormel Hot Chili with Beans

Hormel Hot Chili with Beans had more heat than Hormel has on it's own but if you like your chili hot this just didn't have the heat I would have expected. It didn't clear my nose. 

Wasn't bad but wasn't impressive. 
 

Scott & Jon's Garlic Butter Shrimp Rice Bowl

Scott & Jon's Garlic Butter Shrimp Rice Bowl is a snack that you can get frozen and bring to work. I have to say these Scott & Jon’s things are good enough. They are way to small and you need to eat them with something else but flavor wise no complaints.

This was fast cooking, flavorful eating, and didn’t make a mess. Now I just need like five more of them.

 

Riceland Rice 'N Easy Yucatán Arroz Rojo Rice

Riceland Rice 'N Easy Yucatán Arroz Rojo Rice will jump out of your frying pan if you try to warm it up that way. I like warming it up that way because it gives the rice a crunch. 

This is rice made with tomato paste which is less of a thing than Mexican red rice which is made with spice tomato paste. This has more of a tomato flavor but has no spice. 

This Arroz Rojo Rice will add a splash of color to your meal and be a little more interesting than normal rice. I like the idea, but I never could get behind ready made rice. 
 

Blue Diamond Almonds Tasty Little Cup Confetti Cake

 Blue Diamond Almonds is now into Almond Flour and with it they make these Tasty Little Cup Confetti Cakes. It doesn't take a lot of water to make these and they are very sweet. I did need some milk to go along with this because it was dry but I have to admit it wasn't bad. 

I love almonds and would rather eat a handful of them than this, but this wasn't bad. 

The Daily Crave Beyond Churros Double Chocolate Gluten Free

 In the world of things that should not exist are these The Daily Crave Beyond Churros Double Chocolate. They taste nothing like churros, all grant my idea of a churro is something sold at Costco, and they don't go well with coffee. 

I guess they are better for me than churros, but they don't remind me of churros and they don't kill my cravings for churros. I tend to show up at Costco right as they open to get a fresh churro every now and then. 

Better for you isn't all that great unless they also taste good. I could just eat an apple instead of one of these and it would be much better for me. I also wouldn't look at an apple and want to go to Costco to get a churro. 

Popcornopolis Americorn Popcorn

 Popcornopolis Americorn Popcorn is caramel corn in red, white, and blue. It gives you pooh in green. This gluten free non GMO product tastes great but will kill you, or at very least, give you diabetes. 

It really tastes good, but remember, not for all the time.

WOW Baking Co. Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies

WOW Baking Co. Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies are as not cookies as cookies can be. They aren't sweet, but are rather bland. They are fine with something like ice cream or egg nog but on their own they just taste like nothing. 

They take on the flavor of what you dip them in so take that into account when you buy them. 
 

Seattle Chocolate Holiday Spiced Nuts Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar

 Holiday Spiced Nuts sound like what you call drunks who drank too much pumpkin spiced everything. However, it is a dark chocolate truffle bar from Seattle Chocolate.  This bar is also non-gmo, vegan, and Gluten Free. If you didn't feel good enough about yourself for buying it the company is women owned.

Anyway, this is a chocolate bar fit for having with red wine with the flavor centered around the nuts. It's no snickers, but it is a mix of flavors for the refined pallet.

WOW Baking Soft-Baked Gluten Free Lemon Burst Cookies

WOW Baking Soft-Baked Gluten Free Lemon Burst Cookies are lemon cookies for hippies and weirdos. Unless you have a gluten allergy then you don't need gluten free. 

Still these are soft lemony cookies that get the job done. I have to say for health food like things these don't make me want to hurl. I like them, but as I should not eat them I am giving one bag to the homeless and the other bag to someone who lives a block over.  They are soft enough to eat on their own but go well with coffee or milk.

Trader Joe's Gluten Free Pumpkin Spice Bagels

 I think they bagged the wrong lot with these Trader Joe's Gluten Free Pumpkin Spice Bagels because I taste no spice. These are bland and harder to cut than a normal bagel and are otherwise unremarkable. 

This is something you eat to get into the spirit of things but it's kind of given up the ghost.

Wow Triple Chocolate Chunk

 Wow Triple Chocolate Chunk is the hippy cookie that has no sugar or reason to exist. Flavorless things that taste like clay. I don't get the idea. Cookies, or what ever these are, normally aren't good for you but taste good. These things are a reason to drink more milk. Fail

Gratify Gluten Free Pretzels Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Covered Twists

Gratify Gluten Free Pretzels Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Covered Twists where a leftover from last Christmas that I picked up. Not bad really, not great, but not bad. I ended up leaving these in my car so they got all mushy and then I put them in a coffee smoothy. 

They really worked well in the smoothy. 

Gratify Gluten Free White Chocolate & Peppermint Twists

Gratify Gluten Free White Chocolate & Peppermint Twists have a good amount of flavor for what they are. If you're a fan of peppermint these will tickle our taster. 

However, leave them in you car on a hot day and you have a mess on your hands. This mess will become a hard block of pretzel chocolate that not even my brother will eat.

All and all, these got left on a shelf for a reason so buy carefully.

Gluten Free Mi-Del Snowman Sugar Cookies

Gluten Free Mi-Del Snowman Sugar Cookies are the kind of thing a failed hippy tries to get you to eat on Christmas. The odd thing is that these cookies aren't that bad. I mean, they are hard, dense, and difficult to open, but some how satisfying.

I liked these so much I got more of them after the first lot and I almost never do that with cookies.  Addictive little monsters.

Gratify Gluten Free White Chocolate & Peppermint Covered Twists

Gratify Gluten Free White Chocolate & Peppermint Covered Twists are a pretzel beneath normal pretzels. The whole point of the chocolate pretzel is to give chocolate that salty crunch that makes pretzels so great. These have little if any crunch and not enough salt to fill in the flavor.

If you can't have gluten maybe these are a good idea, but they put my taste buds to sleep.  

Core Organic Energy Tropical Berry

'Core Organic Energy' is the kind of thing you drink when you're fat like me and don't want to get fatter but you can't have artificial sweeteners. With only 35 Calories, real sugar, and a flavor that doesn't make me want to vomit I say this is okay stuff. 

Now their 'Tropical Berry' is unoffensive. I can't say that I love this stuff, but it works well in flavor. I mean, it's kind of like punch. I can't say I love it, but I know it's good for me.  

As for that Energy part, well, if you can't drink coffee this is good stuff. It will not replace a monster and will give you some gnarly burps.
