Smithfield Premium Sausage Hometown Original is a salty sausage that has little flavor past the salt. Only you can say if that is a good or bad thing but past that it gets the job done.
Then again, I made it into a kind of shepherd's pie and had it almost every day for a week and didn't get tired of it. Not bad really.
