Doritos Sweet Tangy BBQ Tortilla Chips

 Few snacks are as wonderful as Doritos. I love them so much. Haven't had them in a spell, but I'm a blob and shouldn't eat them anyway. 

Doritos Sweet Tangy BBQ Tortilla Chips are what you get when you take something great and make it okay. I mean, I'm learning that chips and avocado are a poor mix but Doritos are more something you eat on their own than with dip.

Anyway, this have all the mess of getting that stuff that looks like radio active bee pollen on my hands, but have none of the cheese goodness of their namesake.   

It may just be that these are too different from what I expected, but it may also be that this flavor is just not a good combination.   

Fail. 

No Brand Korean Purple Sweet Potato Chips

No Brand Korean Purple Sweet Potato Chips found there way to my local discount store. The very look of these things made me smile and I have always loved sweet potatoes. 

I have to say these taste like sugar for the most part. I could have used more sweet potato flavor but past that they were a welcome change to the humdrum of normal chips.  

I would buy these again if they are still around next time I go to the store. 
 

Pringles Scorchin’ Hot Sour Cream & Onion

  I would have thought that these Pringles Scorchin’ Hot Sour Cream & Onion crisps would have been hotter but they’re hot enough to leave a lasting burning feeling in your mouth. They are also hot enough to bother the sore in my mouth from eating pizza that was too hot. The sour cream and onion flavor is lost in the heat.

 

There isn’t a lot of reason to match heat with other flavors because they tend to get washed out. Still, if you’re a fan of hot these are the hottest Pringles I’ve had in a long time.

Kettle Brand Potato Krinkle Cut Chips Truffle Oil and Sea Salt

 Kettle Brand Potato Krinkle Cut Chips Truffle Oil and Sea Salt have a lot of flavor. Kettle makes a thicker chip than most that will hold a lot of hummus, but the chips have a lot of flavor to start with.
 

I wouldn't say it was great flavor. I mean, it wasn't bad but wasn't really good either. Maybe I don't like truffle oil. If you need chips and want to contemplate the market as you eat these are more complex than normal potato chips. You kind of lose that with dip I'm afraid.

Pringles Harvest Blends with Sweet Potato

Pringles Harvest Blends with Sweet Potato are a BBQ flavored crisp that has a sweet taste and can be distinguished some from the sweet potato free variety. 

Were as I can't say they are the best thing in whatever Pringles really should be thought of as they make a good snack. They don't have the  lingering smell in the mouth of some other Pringles. 

If you eat Pringles you should try these, if you don't I don't think this will bring you to the brand, but I like them. 
 

Ecua Green Spicy Che Fle Plantain Chips

Ecua Green Spicy Che Fle Plantain Chips are very mildly spicy. These are not bad. They are also not great but rather just kind of exist. They are natural, so good there, but again, just something that exists.
 

Tolteca Snacks Wheels Chicharrones Wheat Snack Chips

 Tolteca Snacks Wheels Chicharrones Wheat Snack Chips are hard to find in California. They are a vehicle for what you put on them tasting fine but other wise being flavorless. 

These are not good or bad, they just are. 

Mission Organics Blue Corn Tortilla Chips

They say that blue food is good for memory but i don't remember anything abnormal about these Mission Organics Blue Corn Tortilla Chips. They do add a little novelty to the party and I have always liked getting them. 

They give me everything I want out of a tortilla chip, you can dip them. 

Keebler Chips Deluxe Minis Original

There is just something crusty about mini cookies that make you wish you had the big ones. Well, Keebler Chips Deluxe Minis Original dunk well in coffee and taste okay. Not totally addictive like normal chocolate chip cookies but not far from that anyway.

Terra Real Vegetable Chips Sweet Potato Sea Salt

Terra Real Vegetable Chips Sweet Potato Sea Salt are the kind of thing you reach for when you want chips but want to be healthy. They have a great flavor, but for some reason they do not have the shape of chips but rather are all crinkled up.

I mean, if you want to dip these things in hummus they don't have enough edge. I mean, these are okay but they could be better. 

Way Better Snacks Multi Grain Chips

Way Better Snacks Multi Grain Chips smell funny. I mean, they taste fine, but they smell like fish. I think they stopped selling these because of their funny smell but they're just fine chips.

Equal Exchange Organic Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Look down at the chocolate you no doubt have in your hand and ask "did a child slave pick the beans for this?" If you honestly don't know than you should by Equal Exchange 'Organic Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips' because you know no slave labor when into your chocolaty treat. I will say that these are just about the same as other chocolate chips you get. 

I can't say they are better for cookies, but they are better for who you are as a person. 

Manuel's Original El Tepeyac Cafe

Manuel's Original El Tepeyac Cafe Chips come free with every meal and they are some of the best restaurant chips I've had. They also give you so many of them that you can't help but be full after eating at this Cafe. 

Trader Joe’s Roasted Plantain Chips

With more than four times the Potassium to Sodium, these chips are a great way to get electrolytes on the go when you can’t get your hands on real fruit. They are still calorically dense and will make you fat. Top that with the fact that you can’t stop eating them and they don’t sound so good.

I also put them on salads every now and then, and they can go okay with that as far as I can see. I’d try these if I were you, but I’m not you unless you’re me and if you are you’re too fat.
