Outback Steakhouse Take Home Packaging rises above the rest by offering you both package and bag to put in your car so that the food you didn't eat get's home safe and sound.
I think this is an offshoot of their delivery service and has nothing to do with you not wanting to finish the food you order.
Now look, I know a cheeseburger when I see one and this is a cheeseburger. You can call it 'The Outback Burger' all you want, but it is still a cheeseburger.
Come on, Outback Steakhouse, if you're going to call it something funny make it something different. I can get this at any mom and pop burger stand.
Outback Steakhouse Volcano Shrimp is breaded fried shrimp topped with mild hot sauce and green onions. If you're hoping for something that will burn your mouth you're going to be disappointed. On the other hand, I could feel a burning and this was good stuff.
If you recall the commercials for Foster's where a salad is a steak with some green on it this will disappoint you.
Outback has made a workable salad in this house and I guess if what you're looking for is green stuff this will do for green stuff. At almost five bucks it's kind of overpriced, but salads are always overpriced.
Outback Steakhouse's "Wood-Grilled California Chicken Sandwich" is a lot of chicken for one sandwich. It runs about ten bucks and that's about what you would pay for a large sandwich anywhere else. I have to grant that this is what you order if someone drags you to Outback and you wish to be more economical.
Still, I found this to be filling and worth eating.
Outback Steakhouse Loaded Blooming Onion is a disappointing order. Nothing on this plate was crisp, not the onion, not the bacon, not the fries.
If you're looking for oil to fill your gut so you can take more alcohol then I'd order this, but if you want something worth eating give it a pass.
They also put a sauce bowl in the middle to make it look bigger.
Outback Steakhouse 'Wood-Fire Grilled Shrimp On the Barbie' looks nothing like the company provided image. It was okay but small and only something you can order for two people. I liked it, but I probably wouldn't order it again.
Outback Steakhouse Mushroom Chicken was not on the online menu so what they call it may be different. This was small and needed more mushrooms.
Outback Steakhouse 'Broccoli & Cheese' is a premium side made in a halfhearted manner the broccoli was over done and the cheese poorly distributed. Not worth it.
'Outback Steakhouse Triple-Layer Carrot Cake' looks to be a layer short if you ask me. Wait, this is my blog so you sort of are asking me! Well then, it's a layer short.
After you get past the whole missing layer thing you have to figure that this was supposed to be a 'shareable dessert' making it small for that happening.
In any case, this was okay. It didn't stand out for carrot cake but was good.
