Green Giant Cheesy Riced Cauliflower & Broccoli

Green Giant Cheesy Riced Cauliflower & Broccoli is an example of their simple steam line which means they are individually packed, boxed to store easily, and have fat of some kind added. In this case, the fat is cheese.

The cheese doesn't run fully into the vegetables making them something that has good bits and bad bits and an inconsistent taste. There is too little broccoli, and the cheese has little flavor.

The way to eat this is to add it into something else like an omelet where you can add a few flavors like pepper or onion, if you like that sort of thing, and change the texture of the food.

This is better than having no vegetables at all but false short of what I would call healthy. I wouldn't get this again and I would never use it as intended.

Birds Eye California Blend Frozen Vegetables

Birds Eye California Blend Frozen Vegetables are a mix of carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli. I guess all those things are grown in California, but I don't see the connection. They are also things that don't freeze well and I cooked them to a crisp for that reason.

Truth be told, frozen vegetables are the kind that don't rot and are still around when you want to eat them so these aren't a bad idea.  Buy a few bags and cook away.

Your body will thank you. Your mouth will be upset.

Green Giant Veggie Tots Broccoli

Few vegetable ideas are as nightmare inducing as Green Giant Veggie Tots Broccoli. Now, I don't mind broccoli every now and then, some can't stand it, but it's good for you.

Tater Tots are kind of a food that isn't good per say, but they are something that can be made easily and fill you up.

Adding these two together is so bad that it makes me want to toss them to the worms if I didn't like the worms. Mostly, they taste like really old broccoli.

Taylor Farms Broccoli Florets

Nothing but the business part of the Broccoli. I have to say that this is just what I want in Broccoli.

4 Earth Organics: Organic Baby Broccoli

When this stuff showed up at my local Costco I had to get some. I eat a lot of broccoli and so needed change in my diet. I found this a hair tougher than normal broccoli which is typical of eating the stems. Further, this does not last as well in the refrigerator.

For one thing, this broccoli bloomed, little yellow flowers, and it looked great raw but turned brown on cooking.

At 30 Calories per cup broccoli in general is great for you, and if you like broccoli this is a great buy. Not so much if you won't eat it in three days.

Hot Pockets Chicken Broccoli & Cheddar

You can see the steam coming off the vegetables which are the best part of this meal. Not that I didn't like this hot pocket, but more that I didn't find it filling. I think you need to eat the whole two pack to feel full.

Funny, I remember these being bigger, but I was smaller then.

Lean Pocket, Turkey Broccoli and Cheddar

So, this is a Hot Pocket dressed up like health food. It is in no way healthy food. From a standpoint of a balanced diet this is just a blob of protein and carbohydrates needing vegetables and fiber. Yes, it has broccoli but not enough to really balance it out much. So if you had this with two carrots, and apple, and some mushrooms you might have a good meal.

The only problem with that is that if you had the time for that other stuff you wouldn’t be eating a hot pocket.
