Jack in the Box Monster Churo

 You got to hand it to Jack in the box or telling the big lies like calling this a Monster Churo. There is nothing at all monster about this churo. It is a normal sized churo at best but they sell small churos so this must be a monster churo in Jack in the Box land.

 

To be fair, this churo is filled with the pumpkin ish stuff from the mini churos and the larger size does make it a better longer lasting churo.

Jack in the Box Sausage Sourdough Scrambler

The Jack in the Box Sausage Sourdough Scrambler has that sourdough that isn't sour. I never understood sourdough but if you wanted sour it will disappoint. 

Past that, you got a big sloppy sandwich that is filling and says morning. I wouldn't say it's a McMuffin but I would get it again. 

If you're not going to Jack then this isn't a reason, but if you're there this is a find option.  

Jack in the Box Monster Cookie Sweet Cream Iced Coffee

Jack in the Box Monster Cookie Sweet Cream Iced Coffee is about as cookie as any other coffee I've had. This is not to say that it's bad but just that it is coffee. I love coffee but if you put cookie in the name I want some cookie to go with it.

Jack in the Box Spicy Chicken Strips 2025

It turns out that it isn’t just the McDonld’s McRib that comes back every year but also the Jack in the Box Spicy Chicken Strips. I tried them back in 2024 and now I can say the 2025 addition is just as bad.

To be fair, these bring the heat just as well as any fast food can. The problem is that they aren’t as crisp as normal chicken strips and the breading comes off as thicker and more overpowering. I would have to guess that they add the spice after cooking and that kills the crisp.

If they did add the spice first it would likely contaminate the oil and make everything spicy.

In any case, the only reason you would want to go to jack would be to get food at a low cost but these, well, they disappoint.

 

Jack in the Box Chicken & Waffle Sticks

 Chicken & Waffle Sticks at Jack in the Box is okay. I've never had this combination before but there are whole restaurants built around the idea. The only real issue is that in terms of fried chicken Jack makes the worst that I've eaten. The waffles are fried like doughnuts.

If only the chicken wasn't too dang salty and the waffles have no sugar so they do crunch like a buttermilk old fashioned but have none of the taste.

This was okay, not good, but okay. 

Jack in the Box Sour Patch Kids Watermelon Shake

Jack in the  Box has proven that foresight isn’t something they have in their planning room with this Sour Patch Kids Watermelon Shake. The milk, or whatever they use, will cancel out the sour leaving you with nothing as the watermelon flavor is just not strong enough.

I grant this is a novel item but the execution is poor and the flavors are better left as an ice cream topping rather than a shake.

I was underwhelmed, and for the amount of fat I gained eating this that’s not a good thing.

 

Jack in the Box Spicy Tiny Tacos

Jack in the Box Spicy Tiny Tacos are spicy, but only just and that is overwhelmed easily by the ranch that these come with. The avocado sauce doesn’t compliment them any better.

I will admit that this was a large item, lots of little tacos, but as far as spicy they were really on the mild side.

Jack in the Box Meat Lovers Croissant

‘Meat Lovers’ is a term you hear in association with men who like the company of other men and pizza. I’m told both results are rather salty.

The Meat Lover’s Croissant at Jack in the Box is not as salty as some of their other options but it’s still not good for you. Even having one with a salad would do very little to make it better.

All in all, it was fine for fast food but needed a little more flavor. I would have used a sausage with more spice.
