Sabra Southwest Hummus

Sabra Southwest Hummus doesn’t taste that much like the southwest but then the southwest is a big plot of land and tastes mostly like dirt anyway. I mean, how is that even a flavor?

Anyway, Sabra has created a smooth flavorful spread that could use more texture and has something of a buffalo sauce like taste. I hope I didn’t get the buffalo by accident because I’m trying that too.

 

Sabra Barbecue Hummus

 I find Sabra Barbecue Hummus off putting. It's sweet but needs more flavor to really be what it want's to be. I didn't taste any sage which to me is the flavor of barbecue.

I wouldn't call this good, but it doesn't make me want to spit it out. 

Lantana Black Bean Hummus

 

Lantana Foods Black Bean Hummus tastes a little like a southwest salad at Jack in the Box. Once you eat the flavor in the middle that kind of falls away and you don’t have all that much more flavor than normal hummus. However, I can say that it was not hard for me to finish off both packages of this product.

I will grant that you really don’t want to go carrots with this because it needs more body to make carrots work but tortilla chips make this some really good hummus. I could have used some whole black beans and corn to give this texture and flavor but it’s worth buying again.

Athenos Chocolate Hummus

 Chocolate Hummus is often overlooked as a food and with the time of burning food in your backyard is soon upon us you may be asking if it should show up at your gathering. I would say that it should, because it is really good. 

Athenos Chocolate Hummus is like cake icing. It's smooth and sweet to be had on sweet potato chips or sliced carrots. 

I love this stuff, I ate the whole thing. 

Sabra Olive Tapenade Hummus

 Sabra Olive Tapenade Hummus has olives on it but not in it. I would have thought there would be olives in the hummus, but there are no olives to be found. This means that it will look good at your holiday party but not after the top get scraped off. Then you're left with normal hummus. It's not that impressive.

Athenos Hummus Supremely Spicy

 Athenos Hummus Supremely Spicy is not so spicy. All the spice is in that red patch at the center, and you can control the spicy by getting as much red as you want on your chips. 

This is the kind of hummus that you really need to get used to, but if you don't like spicy you can really make it what you want. Then again, there is always that one dude at the party who will scoop the lot of the flavor out of the middle and eat the hole thing to prove that he is hard. 

Then he brags about it at every party he goes to for a few years, and we all hate him, and it's your fault for buying this hummus. 

Life is not fair.

Whole Foods Market Delighted By Snickerdoodle Dessert Hummus

 Coming from Whole Foods Market this 'Delighted By Snickerdoodle Dessert Hummus' will likely be way too expensive for most people. I mean, I used to take my brother to whole foods and he was like "Another trip to whole paycheck!" I never really got anything there myself. 

Anyway, it tastes nothing like hummus, a good amount like cookie dough and is rather good. I would not get it again because I would have no idea what to do with it, but I did like the stuff. 

Tribe Sea Salt Caramel Hummus

 Tribe Sea Salt Caramel Hummus is just the right amount of sweet to make celery perfect. Oh, how I love this hummus with celery. I will admit that I've had hummus that was too sweet for celery but this is just right. Buy, for the love of celery, buy!

Lantana Spicy Yellow Lentil Hummus

Lantana Spicy Yellow Lentil Hummus would be unremarkable were it not for the apricots that ting it's flavor. This is not to say that they are good, but rather that they set a tone. Neither my brother or I liked this because of them. 

I mean, this was edible but not great. 

Organic Hope Hummus Thai Coconut Curry

The Thai Coconut Curry flavor of Hope Hummus is oddly mild for as curry flavored anything. I mean, you can tell it's not normal hummus but you can't say Coconut or Curry. I'm not sure what Thai people taste like, but I would think like most people so it doesn't taste much like person either. 

If you come across this it's a fine hummus so take a walk on the wild side and get some. You will be underwhelmed. 

Lantana Sriracha Carrot Hummus

So you want something healthy and you're eye catches the 'carrot' on the cover of this Lantana Sriracha Carrot Hummus and you pick up a tub. 

It's good stuff to be sure. It was hot and I couldn't really taste the carrot, but this was some good hummus. I would get this again.I would say that it's better for you than some good old French Fries but you will need strong chips to mop up this dip. Dang things kept braking on me. 

Delighted by Desserts Worth Sharing Edible Brownie Batter

Delighted by Desserts Worth Sharing Edible Brownie Batter is the kind of thing that worries me. I mean, it looks kind of like poo and isn't all brownie batter supposed to be edible? 

Further, this stuff is made with garbanzo beans making in some funky kind of hummus. I can honestly say I've never eaten brownie batter but it doesn't spread like this at all. It kind of reminds me of canned pumpkin. 

This stuff is not as good as it thinks it is but it's not bad. I would try it if I were you because it's either going to change your world or make you shrug and try something else. 

Organic Hope Hummus Original Recipe

Organic Hope Hummus Original Recipe is a mildly spicy hummus that serves to be what one would expect from this now common food. I have to say that it keeps well when refrigerated. 

This is good stuff because it's normal, but it's still it's own thing.

Got to love it.

Sabra Roasted Pine Nut Hummus

If you're the kind of person who has gut pain then I think you should have Sabra Roasted Pine Nut Hummus sitting around. I don't know why, but it makes me feel better after I eat something that doesn't agree with me. I don't think it's wonderful. I really can't taste the pine nuts, but it just makes me feel better. 

Sabra Roasted Garlic Hummus

For those of you who like hummus but think it's on the boring side you can try Sabra Roasted Garlic Hummus. This hummus is very garlicky and almost overpowering to the carrots I ate it with. I buy this all the time.  

Sabra Hummus Singles Classic

I can't say much for Sabra Hummus Singles Classic other than they last long. I mean, I can eat this but I never say "mmmm Hummus, that's what I need right now!"
