Pattypan Squash

Pattypan Squash is a variety of summer squash( as in it's harvested in the summer) and is known mostly for it's shape. Now I picked these up at my local farmer's market and find them to be longer lasting than zucchini and with a stronger but edible skin. They hold up better when steamed as well making them a great all around addition to the table.
