This is totally fried rice in a not very fried way. On the up side it is not too offensive so good job. It has no onions but it has to fried flavor to be honest.
In my opinion, in general the fried rice at Japanese restaurants (usually Steakhouses) is consistently better than the fried rice from Chinese restaurants.
