Tastee Choice Penne All' Arrabbiata

 Tastee Choice Penne All' Arrabbiata was a let down but then I didn't have high hopes for it in the first place. It was flavorless and smelly. there is way too much Penne and not enough shrimp. 

If you want to smell like fish you can eat this but if you want to taste good food give it a pass. This is the kind of thing you eat when you are transitioning from frozen to cooked food. 

To make this meal work you should cook vegetables on the side or in another pan. Add the pan fried vegetables to the mix when you are ready to eat and it could use some pepper to give it flavor.

Jelly Belly Mixed Berry Smoothie Jelly Beans

Before I got air conditioning I had smoothies very often in the summer because they were cold and it was hot. These Jelly Belly Mixed Berry Smoothie Jelly Beans are nothing like those. This should have more of a tart flavor and be more berry. This was mostly yogurt flavored and it was none fat yogurt but I would have made this with more berry.

AriZona Sun Rise Cherry Punch Hard Seltzer

 AriZona Sun Rise Cherry Punch Hard Seltzer tastes like old fruit. It doesn't taste like cherry or punch. It just tastes like old fruit. I mean, it had very little alcohol so you just won't get very drunk drinking it, and the taste is drab and old. 

I can figure drinking this in the hell of the California summer when the heat alerts are up and you need to cool down. I just can't figure doing it any other time. 

PowerBar Clean Whey Protein Bar Cookies and Cream Flavored

PowerBars never tasted good when they were new at least not the Clean Whey Protein Bars I've had.  These Cookies and Cream Flavored bars were best by some time in 2018 and I found them sitting in my work room under some rubbish that I had knocked over.

Even being more than six years out of date they look nothing like they should but still taste like PowerBars. I miss the ones I got in the 90's that weren't good but didn't taste like this. 

Flavor wise I just can't recommend these, but if you were starving to death on a mountain side these would definitely be delicious.
 

Wei Lih Spicy Beef Flavor Instant Noodle

 Wei Lih Spicy Beef Flavor is an Instant Noodle that is not at all spicy. I'd also say it's not as good with eggs. I mean, you add eggs to your noodles don't you?

Anyway, this didn't have the most flavor and the oily flavor pack that comes with this is something of a pain to get the oil out of .  

This is a passable noodle that works well enough but fails without the right meat to go with it. I wouldn't get this again but it didn't last long in my house. 

McDonald’s Sweet N’ Sour Sauce

I have a rule that if I reviewed something ten years ago then I can review it again. McDonald’s Sweet N’ Sour Sauce is one of those things that I reviewed more than ten years ago and it hasn’t changed a bit. It’s still my go to when eating chicken like nuggets at the golden arches.

I shouldn’t be eating so much fast food, and I shouldn’t be eating this slime, but it kills me so good.

 

Nestle Sensations Eggo Coffee Creamer

Nestle Sensations Eggo Coffee Creamer is disappointing. I mean, it really has almost no flavor to it and so why call it Eggo. I’m not sure what I was hoping for when I picked this up but it was on sale and the last one so I took it home and had some that day without being impressed.

Fail, dude, the kind of fail you forget about because it fails so sadly.

Banquet Mega Meats Original Classic Boneless Chicken Strips & Spicy Mac & Cheese

Banquet Mega Meats Original Classic Boneless Chicken Strips & Spicy Mac & Cheese, try saying that three times fast, is not a common thing to find in your freezer section. This is because it has no flavor and sounds so much better than it is. 

If you're going to drop some hot sauce on these or put them in an air fryer to get a crunch out of them they would be good. As they are they are passable and food for sad men like me who don't feel like cooking. 

Eat too many of these and you'll be constipated. Past that, I would probably get them again.
 

Kraft Roka Blue Cheese Spread with Philadelphia Cream Cheese

Kraft Roka Blue Cheese Spread with Philadelphia Cream Cheese is cream cheese. I don't get why this stuff is a thing because it's what it is made of. It's like "moo drink, now made with milk!"

This will go great on a bagel.

Wei Lih Instant Noodle Saveur D' Oignon Onion Flavour

 Wei Lih Instant Noodle Saveur D' Oignon Onion Flavour come with an oily pack and a dry pack of seasonings. The oily pack is a pain to get the oil out but the flavor is worth the trouble. 

As you can see, I often add so much to my noodles that you can't really see them but this makes them better for me. 

As far as the noodles go, they get the job done and are something different from the norm. I don't think I've had onion noodles before.

Anyway, not the best I've had but not bad.

Mighty Swell Spiked Seltzer Purple Magic

 

Purple Magic is no more magic than any Mighty Swell Spiked Seltzer and is something I would only drink on a hot day. It is berry flavored and telling which berry is harder than one would think.

Like most hard seltzer this tastes of cheaper alcohol and hasn’t much of a kick to it unless you drink it on an empty stomach. Fail. So fail. 

 

Wiley Wallaby Australian Lemonade Licorice

The Lemon in this Lemonade Wiley Wallaby Licorice is there but the aid part is a bit lost. I mean, lemonade shouldn’t be this tart but should rather have a lighter flavor for high volume drinking in the summer.  Lemonade is a party kind of thing for dancing and singing and but it can also be for sitting in the shade and letting the heat pass you by.

These feel like more of a drink garnish with their stronger than lemonade flavor. I may even put one on the rim of a glass for color like a lemon wedge.

I wouldn’t say these are bad but I wouldn’t go eating them by the handful because they are a little too lemon for me.

 

Beringer Main & Vine Wine Spritzer Pink Grapefruit

 Beringer Main & Vine Wine Spritzer Pink Grapefruit is a light alcoholic drink with so little booze in it that you may not notice. It can be used as a pallet cleanser to better taste more mild food and can be use in the same way as white wine.

 Primitive Foods Spinach Chicken Sausage is one way to get your green in and still feel like a man. I mean, the spinach doesn't bother me much. I hardly notice it to be honest. 

The sausage, as is common, takes some time to heat up and may be better microwaved before seeing the pan. I cooked it until it was scorched on top and it still wasn't very hot.  

I don't mind this sausage and in fact I would look forward to trying the next flavor that shows up at the store.

Jelly Belly Green Apple Jelly Beans

 It could be because they were too old but my Jelly Belly Green Apple Jelly Beans didn't taste like apple. I mean, no apple flavor at all. I was like, where is the apple? 

I should have gotten to these sooner. 

Titanic Natural Herbal Liqueur

The Titanic sank on April 15, 1912 and became the most famous maritime disaster in history. Then someone made Titanic Natural Herbal Liqueur so that we can all be depressed about it after dinner. 

The closest thing I've had to this is green Absinthe, and it kind of reminds me of how bourbon makes me feel. This is truly a strange brew for you drinkers out there and I can't even start to figure what to have it with. 

They say this is an after dinner alcohol. I can see that. It has more flavor thinned with ice melt, but it's bitter and dark like the death it names.
 

Healthy Choice Power Bowls Pesto Chicken Pasta

Healthy Choice Power Bowls Pesto Chicken Pasta has a lot of kale. Kale does not freeze well and comes out rather bad when frozen. It needs to be cut small and mixed well to work in a frozen dish or covered in sauce of some kind. 

This is healthy if you can eat it but most people will just pick at the chicken and pasta then leave the rest. Don't buy this if you are one of those people. 

Wendy's Grilled Chicken Ranch Wrap

 Wendy's Grilled Chicken Ranch Wrap is a spring thing and may or may not be available now. I'm writing this a year in advance. Anyway, this was okay. It wasn't good and it wasn't what I ordered.

Further, you can't order these for delivery because they will be wilted and sad by the time they get to you. This is a wrap that must be had fast after making because the chicken is too hot for the greens. 

I wouldn't get this again, and it wasn't that filling for the price. 

Thomas' Everything Bagels

 Thomas' Everything Bagels is the kind of bagel you may just get all over your pants. I found them to be well balanced without too much topping and generally good eating. 

It's hard to go wrong with Thomas's Bagels. I've never had one I didn't like. Then again, I've hardly ever had a bagel I didn't like.

Grand Ferrero Rocher

 I think this Grand Ferrero Rocher is meant for Valentines Day, but it was on the discount rack after Easter last year. It's a big hollow chocolate thing and on the bitter side, so it goes well with coffee. I had mine with ice coffee as you can tell, but I'm not you. 

This looks a lot more impressive than it is, and unless you're filling it with ice cream or something I don't get the point. It isn't bad it just isn't functional.

Hostess Carrot Cake Mini Doughnuts

 

Hostess Carrot Cake Mini Doughnuts don’t have a lot of carrot but then the carrot can be harder to chew and may be left over in your mouth. This is only an issue if there is enough of it to make you spit. Food that makes you spit things out is often bad.

Anyway, these are just fine, good with coffee, and won’t be around too long.

 

Cadbury Mini Eggs With Shell Milk Chocolate

 

Cadbury Mini Eggs are like big thick M&M's with a rough shells. I don't think these are as good as M&M's but they are simple chocolate that will bring a smile. 

Are these really good? No, they are not as good as the filled eggs but they are good enough to replace jelly beans. 

Reese's Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Creme Eggs Candy

 

Reese's Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Creme Eggs Candy are one kind of egg among many but these are the best I’ve had. I can say that the peanut butter is moist and the chocolate is as good and thick as one would expect. 

These are some of the best offering from Reese’s you can get being more stable than the cups and yet having a better texture than the Santa I had for Christmas.

McDonald's Soda Potion

 

In a McDonald's Minecraft Meal, which is not for children, you can get yourself a Soda Potion. It doesn't do anything fun but I guess it looks cool. 

Not being a Minecraft fan I can't tell you what this has to do with the game. I mean, it's the kind of toy you put on your shelf in your computer room and look at it.

 Culinary Creations Springtime Delights Molded Chocolate Candy is the kind of thing you get thinking that the candy is bigger than it is because the box is thick. 

What you get are these three chocolate pieces and most children will be happy to have them. They are, well, okay. I wouldn't get them again but I think I payed a buck for them. 

No big thing.

McDonald's Nether Flame Sauce

McDonald's Nether Flame Sauce is a Minecraft tie in product that tastes like it was made in the game. I mean, is it hot, yeah I guess, but is it good? No, tastes like it was made in a lab. 

This stuff is nasty. I would never get it again but then I would never have gotten it were it not for this blog.

Culinary Creations Tractor Treat 2 pack Solid Gummy Bunnies

Culinary Creations Tractor Treat 2 pack Solid Gummy Bunnies were all over the discount stores last year. I couldn't find them on line.

They look like a real eye pleaser until you need to dismember them to eat them and they were twenty two servings of rubber. 

They taste of cherry and cinnamon but are so chewy that you will spend a long time eating them and it's just too much gummy for one person. 

I know a few people who would eat the heck out of these but I don't care for them. If you don't mind tossing away the leftovers and never wanting to eat gummy again these are fine.

Mike and Ike Cotton Candy Strawberry Lemon

was something I found in the discount bin after last Easter and figured I'd give it a try.  I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was a fail. I didn't taste much but sugar and even putting this into a drink didn't make the drink good enough to be worth having. 

I don't know if I have ever had fresh cotton candy. My family didn't do that kind of thing when I was young. I almost never go out now so I may never have fresh cotton candy, but I know that cotton candy can lose its fluff and gat stale.  

If you ever had the real candy I think this would disappoint you. Sure as hell did nothing for me.
 

Cadbury Mini Caramel Eggs Milk Chocolate

Cadbury Mini Caramel Milk Chocolate Eggs pop up every Easter and I must admit I love them.  They do kind of remind me of cat poop. I mean, look at them unwrapped and they looked like little cat poops. Past that I can’t get enough of these even as I should not eat them because I’m a big fat dude.

 

 

Swedish Fish Jelly Beans

Someone got the idea of taking Swedish Fish and making them into Jelly Beans. They taste about the same but don't feel the same in your mouth. They have that low quality jelly bean texture that really puts me off. 

I think this has something to do with the idea that jelly beans have a coating that keeps them from sticking together and that changes the makeup of the candy. 

I wouldn't get these over the original. The normal fish are better. 

Hershey's Cookies and Creme Polka Dot Bunny

Hershey's Cookies and Creme Polka Dot Bunny has no chocolate. There was no coco butter or anything that said coco at all in the ingredients. 

I can't say this is bad, just bad for you, but if you thought it was chocolate or even chocolate adjacent you're wrong. Your children won't care but I do.
 

Shirakiku Ramune Drink Original

Shirakiku Ramune Drink Original tastes almost like bubble gum. I find it hard to describe but I wouldn’t call it fruit for sure. I don’t really know what it is and I haven’t been able to find out what they flavor it with.  I mean, it tastes like Ramune I guess. I can’t say I miss it when I don’t have it and I can’t say I don’t like it.

Stuff is fine. If I were you I would try it just to see what it’s like because it is very odd.
