Deli Fresh Havarti

 I can’t say that I have ever been the biggest fan of Havarti but this Havarti tastes like nothing. It is as non present as cheese can be and still be a part of your sandwich. I can’t say anything bad about it, all I can say is that it has very little taste as cheese goes.

I would never have it over any of the good old provolone I’ve had, but there is no reason not to buy it.

Nature Valley Chocolate Turtle Soft Baked Sweet and Salty Bars

You have to admit that Nature Valley is just making candy when you look at these Chocolate Turtle Soft Baked Sweet and Salty Bars. I don't think these are even made of oats which would make them better than normal bread. 

I have to admit that I love these things but Nature Valley is supposed to look like health food wile being candy. These just look like candy. 

As candy goes this is good candy. I still feel it's candy and not good for me, but I would get these again.  
 

Warheads Sour Green Apple Soda

Warheads Sour Green Apple Soda is the best Warheads Soda I have tried. It tastes just like a Granny Smith Apple. I'm not dead sure why you would want a soda that tastes that way but I guess the apple wouldn't last as long. 

You could mix some really killer drinks with this because of its robust flavor. I wouldn't buy this on the regular because it's expensive for soda but I will enjoy the cans I have. 
 

Dr. Squatch Moon Rock Soap

 I love space and I need soap so I got this Dr. Squatch Moon Rock Soap and forgot about it. I wonder if they still make this stuff. The idea of limited addition soup ticks me off. I mean, what if you really like the stuff and they stop making it?

Anyway, this soap has sand in it so it’s harsh and the kind of thing you only use if you need to really get your skin clean and get all the dead off. I mean this would be good for removing grease from your skin or maybe makeup after Halloween or something.

This is not the kind of soap you wash with every day. This is the stuff you use when you need to hard clean.

5-hour ENERGY Extra Strength Grape Energy Drink

The 5-hour ENERGY Extra Strength Grape Energy Drink is very candy grape. For a zero calorie beverage it is rather good and better than the other flavors of this brand I have tried. 

I would still drink this in moderation, but if it shows up at my local discount market I would get more. 

Russell Stover Candies Creams Milk & Dark Chocolates Assorted Candies Gift Box (9.4 oz)

 Russell Stover is the kind of candies you get when you're at the store and you need something fancy but not too fancy. They make the holiday candy that folks get and forget and these boxes that look like nice candy but are nothing of the sort. 

Where as I wouldn't call them bad, I would say that they remind me of why my mother was always disappointed with my old man when he got soft center chocolates.  

These are fruity thing that taste okay, but are not that fancy. I'd rather have something better but I shouldn't have them at all. A good old Snickers will knock these out of the box. 

Trader Joe's Instant Coffee Packets with Creamer & Sugar

I've been running hard duty for a few months now and Trader Joe's Instant Coffee Packets with Creamer & Sugars looked like a great option for caffeine on the go that wouldn't burst in my car and would warm me up on a cold night. I am so disappointed. 

This didn't taste much like coffee and didn't have much of a smell either. I admit that it worked okay but I make my coffee strong. I'd even say that I would have liked this a good deal better if I had added packets of other coffee to add flavor. 

This was watery and mild. It's not something that would get you going on a hard morning before a shoot.  

McDonald's Ramyeon McShake Fries

McDonald's must have had a ball with their Grinch Fries because here is round two with their Ramyeon McShake Fries. These things are supposed to taste like chicken needles with soy sauce, I think, because they do. I don't know why you would want fries to taste like that given that McDonald's is the king of fries, but I'm just not complaining. 

These are not as bad as the Grinch Fries because those sucked like a professional woman on payday, but they aren't that great. 

The big issue is that fries are already salty and this is just more salt. I get that pot noodles are salty but to be dead honest I add vegetables when I can.

All and all, I get the idea like I get the salt all over my hands and clothes. This is a novelty so get it before it's gone. 
 

Megatoys Happy Easter Gift Set

Megatoys Happy Easter Gift is the kind of thing that makes you look around for the company name because it’s half air made to look big and almost no Easter gifts. There is almost no Easter branding in this save for the mug and the shape of the orange cream taffy.

 

Oroweat Schwarzwalder Rye Bread

Oroweat Schwarzwalder Rye Bread has a mild flavor and soft texture for rye. I would have expected a courser bread than this but then why does one want a bread to be so full of flavor? I had this with smoked gouda and it was overwhelmed.

As bread goes this is more to look at than to eat and I think it adds something to the meal that way. I mean, people will say “look, he eats fancy bread” as you pull this out of your lunch bag at work.

 

McDonald's Super Mario Galaxy Meal Toy

 The McDonald's Super Mario Galaxy Meal Toy is a funny looking thing. I mean, this is Mario and he comes with that star thing you can hook on stuff. It would come off if you hook it on a bag.

I don't know how you would even play with this toy but I guess if you like Mario then you got a Mario. I would be disappointed with this but a toy is a toy to kids if they are dumb enough.  

Waba Grill Dragonfruit Mango Lemonade

I’ve been meaning to get my hands on the Dragonfruit Mango Lemonade from Waba Grill for some time now and now that I’ve tried it I have to say there isn’t much to it. I would never have guessed that this was supposed to be lemonade. I couldn’t tell you when I last had lemonade but this tastes nothing like lemonade.

Dragonfruit hasn’t much of a flavor and in fact is more fun than flavorful in any dish. The flesh of the fruit looks kind of like ice cream and so makes a great eye catching desert. Why you would juce this to start with I have no idea but it adds little to the overall drink.

Fail, ice tea would be better… only ice tea from Waba sucks too.

 

7-Select Cinnamon Sugar Mini Donut

 7-Select Cinnamon Sugar Mini Donuts at 7-Eleven are the kind of things you shouldn't eat in your car. They fall apart and the crumbs get everywhere. 

They are a light and mild flavor and I do think they're interesting. I wish I had coffee when I ate them. 

I'd get them again but I'm fat.  

Monster Juice Exotic Aussie Style Lemonade

Monster Juice Exotic Aussie Style Lemonade has one of those long names that I can’t stand. Why not just call it Monster Aussie Lemonade? Do I need to know that it has juice in it from the name? 

Anyway, stuff reminds me of Argentinean pineapple. It has that tartness that I would expect with the pine apple but not as much of the lemon flavor I was expecting. 

To be honest I wouldn’t mind a case of these sitting around because I would drink the heck out of them. That would mean that it’s a good thing I don’t have a case of them, because I would drink too many. 

 

Success Import Bread Banana

In the world of "well, this is food" we have the Success Import Bread Banana. It is a bread that tastes mildly of banana. I mean, a real banana has more flavor to it.

There is filling but so little of it that it adds almost nothing but calories. These are a lot more phone to see then eat. I won't have trouble finishing them but I won't get more.  
 

Fresca Zero Sugar Grapefruit Citrus Slurpee

Fresca Zero Sugar Grapefruit Citrus Slurpee is now available at 7-Eleven. I found it to be light and refreshing. Not has heavy as the flavors I normally get. With the Heatwaves hitting the golden state this is a low calorie way to cool off.

I should have gotten a larger one. It didn't taste at all like artificial sweetener.

  
 

Carl's Jr. Waffle Fries

When did Carl’s Jr. start calling them Waffle fries? They were crisscut fries back in the day. Anyway, these are  crisscut fries, but I don’t know if there is any legal definition of that so waffle is a good enough name.

In any case, Carl’s has some okay fries to start with and the Waffle Fries are a step up but not as filling. I think you get less potato in the deal. I’d say that one big advantage of these is that being larger you’re not going to lose them in your car as easily.

I lose way too much fast food in my car. I need to have that thing cleaned.

 

Bon Appetit Cream Cheese Cake

 For the man with no time there is the Bon Appetit Cream Cheese Cake which I got at 7-Eleven. It is nothing like a cheesecake. It is, from what I gather, a cake made with cream cheese. So it is more cake than anything else and a heavy cake at that.

It has a mild tartness to it, which I would have to say makes it interesting, but I will admit that the crumble on top can be a bit of a mess.

All and all, great to have with coffee. 

Keebler Original Export Sodas

 Keebler Original Export Sodas are made to last and be exported for long expeditions. You have them with soup and cold cuts or whatever can be preserved. 

I'm not going to lie, I got them because I want to use that tin for keeping coffee stuff at work. 

Look, these are saltine crackers. They may last linger or be a bit more dry, but they are still saltine crackers. 

I think these are more fun then box saltines, and I will get them again.   

Carl's Jr. French Toast Dips

 There being no legal definition of French Toast you can call these Carl's Jr French Toast Dips. Technically, this would be soldier cut fried bread and not french toast. It does not look to be dipped in egg at all.

To call these bad would be unjust, I can't say they're bad, they just feel like they should be dipped in egg to be called French Toast. 

I wouldn't get this again, but it was okay. 

Taffy Town Orange Cream

 You’d think a whale of a man like me would know Taffy Town, would be known in Taffy Town, and would have an apartment there where they always say “good to see you,” when I show up. I still would have thought it would have been carrot or carrot cake taffy in that carrot shaped box.

It was Orange Cream taffy. I would say it had a sharp orange flavor and was mildly sweet. I wouldn’t say it was great, but it was good taffy.

Carl's Jr. Diablo Habanero Ranch

 Carl's Jr. Diablo Habanero Ranch is kind of what McDonald's was going for with their buffalo ranch only with more heat. The combination of hot sauces with the cooling ranch permits less lingering and building of flavors.

I would say the flavor or ranch is kind of lost. I wouldn't call it life changing. I mean, I like the stuff but it's no something I'd miss if it was gone. 

7 Select Glazed Honey Bun

7 Select Glazed Honey Buns tastes just like Hostess. They probably are Hostess but in a branded bag for Seven Eleven. To be fair, I knew that when I got them but I'm working long days and just needed to review something.

These are sticky, best with coffee, and to be had in moderation. There are better things to be had at the gas station but these are just fine.  

Superior on Main Watermelon Cookies

Superior on Main Watermelon Cookies are surprisingly good for what they are. This is the kind of item that is so good I went back and got more. Love these things but they are so bad for me. I should never eat these again but they really taste great, have a great mouth feel, and are likely granted to contain no actual food.
