How has it been so long that I have had this blog but not reviewed the Baby Ruth. I always thought it was named after Babe Ruth and frankly looks a bit like the bars this famous big eater would make. Thing looks like a lumpy, um, captains log.
The official story is that it's named after Ruth Cleveland, doughtier to Grover Cleveland who was called baby Ruth. Historians say this is not true and that the bar was named after the baseball player rather than the President's child who died young. they attribute the story to copyright issues.
Anyway, the lesser known candy bar that looks like baseball player byproduct is similar to a Snickers Bar only a little smaller and with more salt to make the flavors pop. I don't know why they're not more popular.
Maybe it's because they look like poop.
