Healthy Choice Café Steamers Four Cheese Ravioli & Chicken Marinara
Healthy
Choice Café Steamers Four Cheese Ravioli & Chicken Marinara should
really cut almost everything out but the ravioli, because everything but
the ravioli was nasty. The
white onions on this made it nearly inedible to me, but I have an
aversion to onions so they will.
If
you don’t mind onions, I guess this would be edible, but it doesn’t
come out well. What you get is a really big box with very little food
and a lot of packing materials.

Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Chicken Margherita with Balsamic
I
look at this Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Chicken Margherita with
Balsamic and ask myself “what are those red things”. They look like
tomatoes on the box, but they look odd
when you cook the food.
Save for that red stuff this was, well, okay. Frozen food feels a lot smaller than it did when I was a kid, but I guess there's three times as much of me anyway.
I’ve come to have low expectations for frozen food as it’s being made cheaper and cheaper to be something the average American can buy. This is then food for poor people and so ask yourself “will I eat those red things” if the answer is no you shouldn’t get this because there is so little of it you will still be hungry in the end.

Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Beef Merlot
The Café Steamers line from Healthy Choice comes with a lot of packaging for the amount of food you get so they aren’t that great for the environment’ but I do have a few of their steam trays that I use as cullenders. Being small and standing the test of the dishwasher they aren’t bad to reuse.
The Beef Merlot was something of a disappointment having flavorless vegetables and not having much in the way of beef. The old and flavorless vegetables were the worst part given that this is a frozen meal I could tell that the carrots were sitting in a bad environment before being cooked and frozen. That had a bitter taste to them that said it all.
All in all, this was a disappointment. It was small and cheap but was almost not worth eating.

Healthy Choice Power Bowls Pesto Chicken Pasta
Healthy Choice Power Bowls Pesto Chicken Pasta has a lot of kale. Kale does not freeze well and comes out rather bad when frozen. It needs to be cut small and mixed well to work in a frozen dish or covered in sauce of some kind.
This is healthy if you can eat it but most people will just pick at the chicken and pasta then leave the rest. Don't buy this if you are one of those people.

Healthy Choice Power Bowls Roasted Red Pepper Romesco Chicken Pasta
Healthy Choice Power Bowls Roasted Red Pepper
Romesco Chicken Pasta has one of those long names that I truly hate. Did
you really need to tell me that there was Roasted red pepper in this,
because I didn’t taste them. I think the red pepper
was pureed and made into the sauce. The sauce was honestly very good.
I’ve had a lot worse from Healthy Choice, but I
still wouldn’t recommend this product because it’s just too small. You
get a big box full of air with these things and the food may look good
and taste okay but be a real disappointment.

Healthy Choice Power Bowls Adobo Chicken
The Healthy Choice Power Bowls Adobo Chicken has
the power to leave you wanting. This is one of the better Power Bowls
from Healthy Choice. The beans and grains that make up the bulk of this
snack are hearty and filling, there just aren’t
enough of them to fill up an active human. The chicken was also of
solid quality and there could have been more of it but what do you
really expect?
This is what you get when you really want healthy
frozen food. It stinks, you’re still hungry after eating two of them,
but they are good for you.

Healthy Choice Power Bowl Greek Style Chicken
In
the world of frozen food, I often say ‘where are the vegetables’? I
can’t say that with this Healthy Choice Power Bowl Greek Style Chicken
because it’s almost all vegetables, but cauliflower is rarely something
I want to see.
Further,
if you’re looking to lose weight then these are great because you would
never eat one and there isn’t much to them anyway. This
was just nasty. I mean, you look at what they put on the box and what they
put in the food and the two things look nothing like each other.

Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Portabello Marsele Pasta
As you can see 'Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Portabello Marsele Pasta' is not something I think of as a meal. This would be because it's almost all carbs and very little else. At 230 Calories eating this as a meal will cause you to drop the pounds, but so will starving yourself with any diet food.
Now, these things come with the pasta in a little colander and the sauce in another plastic bowl, so they are specifically designed to kill the environment. I'm saving the little colander to wash my fruit in at breakfast but we'll see if that works.
I will be clear that these are not a bad idea if you have them with vegetables and protein. As they are I wouldn't bet on you losing weight with them.
