Carl's Jr. French Toast Dips

 There being no legal definition of French Toast you can call these Carl's Jr French Toast Dips. Technically, this would be soldier cut fried bread and not french toast. It does not look to be dipped in egg at all.

To call these bad would be unjust, I can't say they're bad, they just feel like they should be dipped in egg to be called French Toast. 

I wouldn't get this again, but it was okay. 

Carl's Jr. Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit

There was a time that morning would come and a mom would ask “what should I do with these biscuits?” If they were stale you would cover them with gravy and feed them to your hungry farmers like that, but if the family needed to get on the road and fast you’d fill one with breakfast foods and send them on their way. 

At Carl’s Jr. You can get both of these relics of a bygone era, and this was the Sausage and Egg with cheese version. Cheese wouldn’t have been in the early version I would think. 

Anyway, this is on the dry side and I wouldn’t call it something to talk about. If a biscuit is what you want to start your day this is your jam. 

 

Starbucks Impossible™ Breakfast Sandwich

 The Starbucks Impossible Breakfast Sandwich is not vegan. I'll grant you that I'm also not a vegan and so this doesn't bother me, but I do try a good amount of vegan food.

The goal of vegan food is to be as good as the real deal so that people will give up eating meat. This fell well short of that goal, but I will admit I didn't mind it. I wouldn't really get it again, but it was okay. 

DiGiorno Breakfast Croissant Eggs Benedict Style Pizza

 DiGiorno Breakfast Croissant Eggs Benedict Style Pizza could only be more California if you added avocado. The avocado is something you should add after baking because it will not stand the heat well. 

I find this to be an oddly wet pizza. Stuff drips off of it as you eat. Also, the crust is too thick and you wind up pealing some of it away. Not the the crust is bad but it just is too much for one person to eat. 

If you're serving this to your family add a few healthy things and eat the crust. Past that, you should really try this pizza.

DiGiorno Breakfast Croissant Cinnamon Roll Pizza

 Had they not legalized pot I would think we wouldn't have DiGiorno Breakfast Croissant Cinnamon Roll Pizza. Remember that I live alone now and have few friends who would try this with me, so I had to eat the whole thing. 

It's not as good as a cinnamon roll. I guess it's easier to make than a cinnamon roll. i don't eat cinnamon rolls often. I will grant that my hands didn't get as dirty as they would have if i had a sticky bun. 

Still, this was just okay. It wasn't something I would go out and buy again. Sadly, I got three of them thinking I was buying something else.  

Great concept, poor execution.

Duncan Hines Perfect Size for 1 Breakfast Muffin & Cake Mix, Buttermilk Pancake has a long name that drags the product down. I mean, why don't we have a snappy name for these yet. How about Small cup cakes? These things are small, good, but leave you wanting more.

Belvita Breakfast Blueberry

The Belvita Breakfast Blueberry biscuits are perfect for tea or coffee. As I love coffee I love these. I'm not so hot on blueberry but the crisp nature of these makes me want to go back and find a few more flavors to review. Good stuff.

Galaxy Burger Pork Chop Breakfast

Over at Galaxy Burger in Ontario California this is the Pork Chop Breakfast. Simply put, you have protein and starch with little in the way of vitamins.  If you're on your way to the gym and you plan to pump some real iron then this is all the stuff you need to keep it going. It is not a balanced meal, but what is in this day and age?

Galaxy Burger Country Breakfast

I ordered the Galaxy Burger Country Breakfast at Galaxy Burger in Ontario California and the lady had some trouble understanding me. The Country Breakfast is also the Country Fried Steak. 'Country' in  food terms normally means fried or big because there is a lot of work and oil in farming America. You need all that food to get through the day.

In any case, the potatoes nearly fell off my plate and there was  food to make it hard to finish. Was it good? Yes. Was it what I can get at any burger diner? Yes. America is not known for its innovation in morning foods.

Founders Breakfast Stout

Founders Breakfast Stout is a dark rich beer with oatmeal, coffee, and chocolate to thicken and deepen its brew. This is a bitter sipping beer with a heavy feel and a long lasting, but less then perfect head. 

I would recommend it but it's on the pricey side. This is a solid dark stout. I've had better, but this one isn't bad.

Taco Bell Breakfast Crunch Wrap

How do you make a breakfast burrito less easy? Taco Bell Breakfast Crunch Wrap tells you how with that funny tortilla wrap. I mean, look at that thing, how is that better. Harder to hold easier to spill. Looks fun I guess. 

 

Pioneer Cafe Bacon Breakfast

The Bacon Breakfast at the Pioneer Cafe in Glendale is so basically American that it should come with a little flag. I will point out that Glendale has a very large Armenian population and they really should try something a little more diverse. 

After that, well, how do you comment on this? The bacon was crisp, the eggs were fluffy, and the potatoes were starchy. Merica!

Pioneer Cafe Weight Watchers Breakfast

How good of Pioneer Cafe in Glendale to have a breakfast for the overweight food reviewers I mean house wives who don't feel sexy.

What you have here is ground round, three eggs, and a cottage cheese and melon salad. It's actually rather good for you and is something I recommend to start your day.  Most Americans don't eat this healthy even once a week. 

Pioneer Cafe Country Breakfast with Pancakes

The Country Breakfast with Pancakes at the Pioneer Cafe in Glendale is a breakfast that gives me little to talk about. Yeah, it's great, it's breakfast, it's everything that you would expect. 

I'll grant that you need to use a knife to cut the outer sides of the pancakes but that goes away as you get to the softer middle. Again, nothing to snazzy, just an American meal.

Art's Burgers Big John Breakfast Burrito

Art's Burgers "Big John" Breakfast Burrito is stuffed with ham, sausage and bacon. It is all the meats you can get together and I found it salty. 

Yeah, if you're a big meat eater this is for you, but for me I'm still going with the bacon option. It suits me best. 

Art's Burgers Sausage Breakfast Burrito

Art's Burgers in El Monte California serves a good number of choices when it comes to breakfast burritos, and I think I'm almost half way through them. Well, the sausage burrito is made with a soft fatty sausage with a minimal amount of spice. You can ask for salsa in yours and I would unless you don't like salsa.

For me, I'm not a big fan of soft sausage. I cook mine until it's crisp but that takes longer and you just can't do that with folks waiting. Anyway, this is better than some options but still not the best.  

Panera Bread Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich

The Panera Bread Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich is one thing you can get from Panera Bread. However, the sausage is not properly cooked. It tastes like it's been made in a microwave rather than a grill making it bland and soft. 

It does have more heft than the more poplar Sausage sandwich from other places but it is so bland that eating it is like watching Sharknado when you want to see Jaws. 

Subway Sandwiches Ham and Egg Breakfast Sandwich

Subway Sandwiches "Ham and Egg Breakfast Sandwich" is well like breakfast in a sandwich. It was filling and functional, it didn't leave me wanting more like what may happen with McDonald's and it was also loaded with vegetables.   

If you need to eat and run this is a great buy.

Subway Stake and Egg Breakfast Sandwich

I honestly couldn’t find this on Subway’s website so I can only tell you its worse for you than the egg-white version. A foot long will run you almost nine hundred Calories so long as you don’t get any extras. To put it mildly this blows the flaming stool out of a Carl’s Jr. Bacon Double Cheeseburger.  The Subway is way more filling than the Carl’s for around the same Calories.

I should put it that I was fasting for labs before eating this monster and it filled me up and I’ve been craving it for weeks since.  Tastes great but eat in moderation.
