Last year I had the lemon version of these Strawberry
Mother’s Day Cakes and I still can’t tell what’s so mother’s day about
them. Really, Little Debbie, was the
frosting pattern what made the name for you?
Anyway, the strawberry version has a sharper flavor that does remind me more of the life of a
mother being bitter sweet. I don’t really know. I think of being a mom as being
kind of like owning a cat. I love the little fur ball, but I can’t always be
there to keep it safe.
I would figure that if you sat down and had tea with mom
these cakes wouldn’t impress her that much. They would be something but not an
impressive something.
That said these are good little things that I love to dip in
my coffee. I think of my mom lost to me
now for more than thirty years and say “I’m going to do better to make you
proud”.
