Kelloggs Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Cereal

 I'm told Kelloggs Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Cereal is no longer on offer. I can't figure why other than the lack of peanut butter flavor. I mean, tasted mostly like chocolate to me.

I got it last year and on sale. I guess they were closing it out. I would never buy sugar cereal for reasons other than this blog but I do admit that this wasn't bad, it was just bad for me. 

Death in a box that you will love. Ask the company to bring it back if you want it for yourself. 

Little Debbie Strawberry Mother's Day Cakes

Last year I had the lemon version of these Strawberry Mother’s Day Cakes and I still can’t tell what’s so mother’s day about them.  Really, Little Debbie, was the frosting pattern what made the name for you?

Anyway, the strawberry version has a sharper flavor  that does remind me more of the life of a mother being bitter sweet. I don’t really know. I think of being a mom as being kind of like owning a cat. I love the little fur ball, but I can’t always be there to keep it safe.

I would figure that if you sat down and had tea with mom these cakes wouldn’t impress her that much. They would be something but not an impressive something.

That said these are good little things that I love to dip in my coffee.  I think of my mom lost to me now for more than thirty years and say “I’m going to do better to make you proud”.

 

Little Debbie Mother's Day Lemon Cakes

 

Little Debbie Mother's Day Lemon Cakes where at my discount market this year and I must say that I had enthusiasm for them.  Then again, I’m a big fat fellow who lost his mother young, and so I wish I could share these with the old girl. My family never felt that way but it has been a good many years.

Anyway, these cakes are mildly lemon, as opposed to sharply lemon, and go well with milder coffee.  I would say that these are a fine addition to tea time with mom but would not be a major gesture to tell her you care.  These and doing the dishes afterwards may go over a bit better but you should wash her car or something to go along with it.

In other words, these are nice and fall short of the bitter sweet feeling of watching your children grow up and move and then never call.

Little Debbie Cookies Star Crunch

I don't know what I was expecting when I got a box of Little Debbie Cookies Star Crunch but it wasn't what I got. You eat one of these and think "well,  it's okay", but it didn't pain me in the least to add more than half the box to my "to feed the homeless" pile. 

Don't go thinking I'm that great of a person. I could never eat all the food I try and I give a lot of it away. 

Anyway, these will be fine for an add to some school lunch or something. They are individually wrapped, and if you a real cookie monster you may just be able to say no to these and only eat one. 

I wouldn't get these again. 
 

Little Debbie Sparkling Strawberry Unicorn Cakes

Little Debbie Sparkling Strawberry Unicorn Cakes look like so much fun but taste nothing like unicorn. I mean, I don't get the connection and no that pink and white thing on the box is not a real unicorn. 

They don't taste strongly strawberry, but I guess strawberries don't have that much of a taste anyway. 

These little cakes are more of a talking point than a dessert. Not to say that they are bad but for being unicorn cakes they should be magical. If a big thing for you is how cool your coffee cake looks than these are great. 

If taste is your thing not so much.
 

Little Debbie Fancy Cakes

Fancy Cakes sounds like what they call Little Debbie in her teens and twenties when she spends her days by the pool in a thong. 'Look at fancy cakes over there, I'd take a bite out of that."

In truth, theses things are okay, really bad for you, but okay. I would recommend you eat them only if you are the kind of person who feels good by the pool in a thong. Manzillas like me need to stay away. 

Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies

Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies need more oatmeal. I mean, the oatmeal is the big thing in these cream pies and there just isn't enough of it to give the pies the texture that oatmeal should have. 

There are few things like a good oatmeal cookie on a cold morning to get you going on the way to work. I often ask myself why the oat breakfast doughnut has never become a thing. These on the other hand, just not enough oats.

Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies with Chocolate Chip Candy

Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies with Chocolate Chip Candy are a disappointment in fudge. By that I mean they look and taste like bad fudge as a posed to brownies. 

Cosmic Brownies should have something that makes them cosmic if you ask me but these candy bits don't make you see the purple dragon and that white monster on the box doesn't come out and play.  

Fail. 

Little Debbie Pumpkin Delights

Little Debbie's Pumpkin Delights sounds like a euphemism for something I don't want to put in my mouth. This will almost certainly be on the shelf for the next few weeks, and they look nothing like the picture on the pack. 

That said they don't taste like they have pumpkin in them, and they are under seasoned. I don't dislike them, but I don't love them ether.  

Little Debbie Pumpkin Spice Rolls

Little Debbie Pumpkin Spice Rolls are underwhelming. The spice part is a little misleading and the pumpkin part is just a fraud. This could have had a much stronger flavor to go with my coffee.

To be honest these are okay. If they come on sale and you don't have a weight problem then go for it. If you're fat like me give them a pass.
