Prego Creamy Cheddar Cheese Sauce

 Prego Creamy Cheddar Cheese Sauce is a mild cheddar sauce which makes little impact on your noodles over any other sauce you buy. The three or four cheese sauces will have a little more of a flavor.

In short, this is creamy thick and bland with an off putting color and makes us ask why we are putting it on our pasta. It's fine, not great, but fine.

Prego Farmers' Market White Bean & Roasted Garlic Sauce

 Prego Farmers' Market White Bean & Roasted Garlic Sauce is one of those things you have to have fresh and heat all the way through to enjoy. Other wise the beans get too hard and the garlic gets overpowering. 

I had it as is and with sausage, and the sausage really made the meal. I think this is worth trying, but not it's going to satisfy everyone.  

Prego Four Cheese Alfredo

I tried blanching cabbage in my Prego Four Cheese Alfredo and it worked okay. Cabbage, for those of you who don't know, was considered a super food in ancient Rome. 

A little sliced cabbage in your Alfredo can keep the plague off you. This stuff is okay for covering up the fact that you are eating cabbage. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it will help get that cabbage down. 

Prego Bacon Flavored Alfredo Sauce

Prego Bacon Flavored Alfredo Sauce is disappointing even for something that is just flavored. Bacon Alfredo sounds awesome. It's really too bad that this not Bacon Alfredo. It is Alfredo. I don't taste bacon, I don't feel bacon, I don't even smell bacon.   

If you want the real deal make some bacon and add it to Alfredo, and leave this stuff on the shelf, because it will let you down. 

Prego Fresh Mushroom

Prego 'Fresh Mushroom' has mushroom in it or so the label tells me. I couldn't taste the mushroom myself but it is the third ingredient. Normally I like to have smooth sauce, but in this case the smoothness only means that there are fewer mushrooms then would make this good.

Not that I think it's bad. I only think it could use more mushrooms. If I were making this with sausage it would work out just fine. 

Prego Italian Sausage & Garlic

Prego 'Italian Sausage & Garlic' is a solid sauce but not as good as there normal meat flavor. There was real Sausage in this sauce but normally Italian Sausage has a stronger flavor than this one.

I can't say the sauce put me off but Italian sausage should be louder in flavor and spicy enough to clear my nose.

Prego Flavored with Meat

'Prego Flavored with Meat' is a funny name for meat sauce. Wouldn't it just be 'normal'. I'm putting this in the same category as the whole 'Milk Chocolate M&M' thing.

This is smoother and less chunky then Prego's 'Roasted Garlic and Herb. You would think that Herb, whoever he is, would be made of meat as well but I'm not looking into that.

I thing this is better than the other Prego's I have, had and I was able to make it without burning the pot.

Prego Roasted Garlic & Herb

Prego Roasted Garlic & Herb was suspiciously not garlic flavored. I grant that garlic and herb is just kind of like saying pasta sauce, but I would have expected the flavor of garlic to be in there somewhere.
