Gold Star Hamburger Pastrami

The Pastrami at Gold Star Hamburger in Glendale California is a big slop of wet meat on a bun that will get saturated by the time you finish eating it. Thing left a puddle of grease on my tray. This wouldn't be a bad thing if you didn't have to ask to be let into the restrooms at Gold Star. 

I wouldn't get this again mostly because of how much got on my hands and not in my mouth, but this is still a lot of sandwich.
 

Galaxy Burgers, Pastrami,

Galaxy Burgers Pastrami is one really wet sandwich. If you've been reading me for a while then you know I love this place. This was still a little to wet and drippy for me.

Troy's Burgers Pastrami Sandwich

Well, so like a dumb ass you're starting a diet today when Troy's Burgers in Orange is probably empty and all that salt and protein will help you recover from the hangover. Google maps is going to call this place Troy's Drive-In for some reason but then the place is kind of forgettable. 

Then it has no drive through or drive in so I don't get why anyone would call it that. I mean, it hardly has a parking lot. 

Anyway, stick to your diet. This pastrami is okay. 

Pioneer Cafe Corned Beef on Rye

Over at the Pioneer Cafe in Glendale you can get yourself a nice wet Corned Beef on Rye sandwich. I am beside myself in the understanding that this is how they make these across the country. I like my lunch meat grilled and not just heated. 

These have a lot of salt so they are best had with a beer...then again what isn't best had with a beer... a colonoscopy I guess. 

Rick's Drive In and Out Pastrami

Rick's Drive In and Out is a little place on Greenleaf in Up Town Whittier. I think it's a chain but the place has been their as long as I can remember. There Pastrami is a big wet sandwich with lots of meat. This thing is salty as hell so get a drink if you buy one.

As pastrami goes, not remarkable. 

TOM'S Famous Family Restaurant Classic 50/50 with Pastrami

I'd never been to TOM's Famous Family Restaurant so I had no idea what a '50/50' was when I ordered. Turns out that that means half ground bacon and half ground beef. Top that wit pastrami and you have the 'Classic 50/50 with Pastrami'. 

Well, you get a lot of food for your money at TOM's. I can't say it was impressive because the Pastrami wasn't grilled. I had meat falling all over the place as I ate this and I couldn't finish the french fries. You decide if that was a good thing. 

Oh, yeah, and you should ask for mustered. This didn't come with that. 

Omega Burger Pastrami Sandwich

Omega Burger's 'Pastrami Sandwich' is very wet. I'm not a big pastrami fan, but I'm not sure it should be so wet. I would have preferred grilled pastrami which would rely more on the mustered for moister and be more flavorful. 

Now this sandwich was big and you got a good deal of meat with it so on the filling side of things it was top of the lot. I can't say I would make this a regular on my buy list, but if you like pastrami you are in for a great meal. 

Farmer Boy's Hearty Pastrami Sandwich

There is a lot of Pastrami on this 'Farmer Boy's Hearty Pastrami Sandwich' and it misses the point of making that Pastrami hot by putting it on the grill. 

I'd say the Ciabatta roll was a nice touch but over all this sandwich left me flat. I mean, the pastrami really needs to be accented with some hard grilling and a little charring to make one of these good. 

Jersey Mike's Subs Grilled Pastrami Reuben

I hate the bread with the plastic in it that compacts once it gets made into a sandwich. After that, this is a really big sandwich. Yep, that's about all you can say about it.
