Gold Star Hamburger Pastrami

The Pastrami at Gold Star Hamburger in Glendale California is a big slop of wet meat on a bun that will get saturated by the time you finish eating it. Thing left a puddle of grease on my tray. This wouldn't be a bad thing if you didn't have to ask to be let into the restrooms at Gold Star. 

I wouldn't get this again mostly because of how much got on my hands and not in my mouth, but this is still a lot of sandwich.
 

Gold Star Hamburger Fried Zucchini

 The Fried Zucchini at Gold Star Hamburger in Glendale California is a big plate of much to be desired. I mean, I couldn't finish them but they were bland and some were squishy. 

One thing I have to be honest about is I only order Zucchini to review it and have never had much love for the stuff. However, this just got my hands all nasty and would have been hard to eat without the ranch it came with. 

Gold Star Hamburger Chili Omelet

Over at Gold Star Hamburger in Glendale California, the Chili Omelet is a thing. It's the mud chili that you get at a number of small fast food places so if you were looking for some heat this isn't for you. 

I have to say I don't get this. It works okay and I think dipping my toast in that stuff is a great idea if you don't want to use jelly.  Then, I have to admit that looking at this makes me want to eat another one. 

All in all, this is something that will get you going in the morning. It's worth trying.

Gold Star Hamburger Ham

Out of the can and off the grill a lice of ham at Gold Star Hamburger in Glendale California has an earthy flavor in a down home, I got it from the store, kind of way. 

I have to say that I really like Gold Star Hamburgers, but I think them ham is just so-so. Next time I'll try the sausage.
 

Gold Star Hamburger Hotcakes

 If you ever find yourself in Glendale California in the early morning you may just run into one of the few restaurants that are open that time of day which is Gold Star Hamburger. In that case, the hotcakes may just be your thing. 

I like to cut an x in mine before adding the syrup to let it sink in. Then I take a big forkful of America and feel the down home vibe of the restaurant. 

The truth is that these are just normal hotcakes and there is little interesting about them. If you like them then they are your thing. What you really go to Gold Star Hamburger for is to feel the vibe of an age past when people worked at fast food places instead of machines. 

Gold Star Hamburger is a very human place, and that, some how, makes the food better.
