Birds Eye California Blend Frozen Vegetables

 Birds Eye California Blend Frozen Vegetables are a mix of carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli. I guess all those things are grown in California, but I don't see the connection. They are also things that don't freeze well and I cooked them to a crisp for that reason. 

Truth be told, frozen vegetables are the kind that don't rot and are still around when you want to eat them so these aren't a bad idea.  Buy a few bags and cook away. 

Your body will thank you. Your mouth will be upset. 

Birds Eye Steamfresh Gold and White Corn, Carrots, Asparagus

Birds Eye Steamfresh Gold and White Corn, Carrots, Asparagus really does cook in pack. I mean, you just dump that thing in your microwave and let it cook then open the bag and put it on a plate. 

It still tastes like vegetables and frozen asparagus will never be as good as fresh, but it still gets your pee stinking. These packs being vegetables they don't taste like much so you may want to add some pepper, but other than that: eat this stuff, it's good for you.

Centrella Mixed Vegetables 16 oz

Centrella Mixed Vegetables is a pack of vegetables that comes with Lima Beans. Lima Beans are a big thing for me and given that I will eat a whole pound of these vegetables in one meal they are a big part of my buying these things. What ever happened to getting Lima beans in a bag.

Anyway, these have salt so they are not as good as they can be, but they have Lima Beans so that makes up for it to me. 

Yellow Carrots

Yellow Carrots are grown to be sweeter than normal carrots and I will have to say that they fail to provide that sweetness. I find these to be just about as carrot like as orange carrots so I can't recommend them over their orange varieties but they do add some nice color to your salads so they are good for a change.  

Deep Purple Carrots

Deep Purple Carrots are a variety of carrot grown to have the purple/blue pigments that are supposed to help you with memory. They are indeed bursting iwth pigment and will stain other vegetables cooked near them.

I will have to point out that these carrots can have an inedible core that tastes like hard fibers. This is normally the case with larger carrots or those that have been sitting too long. I can't go out and say these a all that great. To be honest I think I'll stick with cabbage for my purple pigments. 

Bunny-Luv Fresh Organic Carrots

I think this was an old bag, because these things got dark pits in their skin. Making eating them a hair less appetising.

I mean, the great thing about carrots is that they last long and these don't last all that well. Further they were smaller than the normal carrots I get from Costco.  

I never thought too much about carrots before I started this blog but I can tell you these are just kind of there and I wouldn't go looking for them.
