Bon Appetit Pound Cake

Pound cake is named for the four pounds of ingredients that were used in the original recipe. That would be a pound each of eggs, sugar, flower, and butter. This would kind of mean that what you have with Bon Appetit Pound Cake is not all that pound cake like.

I'm still not sure what would make this a pound cake as apposed to a yellow cake, but pound cake is supposed to be rich and thick.  

As cake goes this is a find thing to have with coffee. I would never eat it without something to drink but coffee would be my go to. Sticks to the inside of my mouth.  

All in all, if you're a big dude like me pound cake is a bad thing to have. If you're some bony butt then this would be a good way to pack on the pounds.
