Bitter Melon Gourd is something we eat as diabetics. It has something that lowers your blood sugar and man does it live up to its name. I have to admit that I wouldn't have really gotten this for any reason other than health benefits. It doesn't do all that much but neither does my medication. If you want to bring down that blood sugar than this is what you eat but the flavor can be very strong and it should be cut small and mixed with other food.
Also, this tends to be expensive.
