Baker's Drive Thru Fries

Fries are a big thing at Baker's Drive Thru as in they have a size for more than one person. This order was big, tasty, but about average for fries. I can't say I will ever think 'get me some Baker's fries', but given that the nearest Baker's to me is in Ontario California it would be kind of a drive.

Greenist Cookie & Hazelnut Swirl

Greenist Cookie & Hazelnut Swirl is man's poor attempt to make something better than peanut butter. It's a rich spread that leaves the taste of sugar in your mouth, but ultimately pares with nothing other than say vanilla ice cream. 

Not only would I not buy this again I don't know what to do with what I have.  I mean, I normally don't buy ice cream and this isn't better than peanut butter.

Founders Breakfast Stout

Founders Breakfast Stout is a dark rich beer with oatmeal, coffee, and chocolate to thicken and deepen its brew. This is a bitter sipping beer with a heavy feel and a long lasting, but less then perfect head. 

I would recommend it but it's on the pricey side. This is a solid dark stout. I've had better, but this one isn't bad.

Sunny D Blue Raspberry

When I was a kid I went around saying "what the heck is blue raspberry?" and when my father was a kid he went around saying "what in god's name is Sunny Delight?" Now we have the two made one and if I drank Sunny Delight and had Blue Raspberry things I would be in heaven. 

I have to admit that neither of these things tickle my fancy but when the world ends and we all live in bunkers drinking this crap I'm sure it will be gone fast.  

It goes well with vodka. 

Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies with Chocolate Chip Candy

Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies with Chocolate Chip Candy are a disappointment in fudge. By that I mean they look and taste like bad fudge as a posed to brownies. 

Cosmic Brownies should have something that makes them cosmic if you ask me but these candy bits don't make you see the purple dragon and that white monster on the box doesn't come out and play.  

Fail. 

Galaxy Burgers Fish and Chips Dinner

Galaxy Burgers Fish and Chips Dinner is your basic bread crumb fish with fries, onion rings, rice pilaf, and a roll. My advice is to leave the rice for last because it will store the longest. 

In any case, this is different as most fish n' chips uses battered fish. It's of good quality and for folks like me who love this kind of food very very satisfying. I only wish I didn't have to try other stuff so I could have more of this. 

Carl's Jr. Vanilla Iced Coffee

Carl's Jr. Vanilla Iced Coffee gets the ice coffee part right but fails at the vanilla. Look, this is okay ice coffee but for those caffeine addicts like me it just falls flat...and I fall fat. The ground better get out the way.

Carl's Jr. Breakfast Burger

Carl's Jr.'s Breakfast Burger is something I have to say I like. It's a real beef burger, not that want to be sausage crap, with bacon, eggs, and hash browns with ketchup. I don't know why but that ketchup just does it for me. 

I love these things, and I think I've found a new breakfast go to. You got to try one of these. 

Carl's Jr. French Toast Dips

Carl's Jr. French Toast Dips are not good enough to enjoy a permanent spot on their menu. They really don't taste like they're made with egg. I wold say these are kind of like doughnut sticks and are a little heavy with oil. 

Not bad not grate. I will not get them again. 

Carl's Jr. Biscuits and Gravy

If disappointment is your jam then Carl's Jr. Biscuits and Gravy will make your morning. I've had some bad gravy in my day, but this stuff just tastes like mud. The sausage, which should make the flavor, is bland and the grave is thick and filling, but I think those black spots are just dust because they can't be pepper. Fail

Galaxy Burgers Rice Pilaf

Galaxy Burgers Rice Pilaf is one of those things that come with a Galaxy Burgers dinner. It's serviceable, I mean, you get a lot of food to start with, and then you have this to fill you up if you've got a bottomless gut.  

This is the one thing that's ending up in your to go bag if you get one. What does one say about Rice Pilaf? 

Swanson Chicken Broth 33% Less Sodium

Swanson Chicken Broth 33% Less Sodium is your basic chicken broth. I got some for my cat who was feeling ill and then got one for me because I wanted to review it. My cat was unimpressed and I thought it was okay.

Polner Fruit & Maple Raspberry

Polner Fruit & Maple Raspberry is the good old fashioned taste of maple added to raspberry. I never thought of this combination but it works. I mean, it's better than just corn syrup. 

They call this a spread because of all the stuff in it, and I guess the name fits.   

It's funny, I like this stuff, but I got two jars, and I'm giving one to the homeless because I don't eat fruit spread that often. Tastes good, but I can take it or leave it.

Monster Hydro Blue Ice

Monster Hydro Blue Ice is a thing I picked up hoping to give my day off a little more zing. I can't say that it picked me up like a cup of coffee, but it works okay. 

I guess this is what counts as a sports drink, and it's lower on calories and higher on other good stuff. Flavor is a bit watered down, but that's a good thing. It won't leave that sugar aftertaste in your mouth. 

This is a fine addition to the Monster family. 

Burgher King Impossible Whopper

I finally got a Burger King Impossible Whopper. It's no real whopper. I mean, close, yes, may be even better for you, but not as moist as the real deal. 

I will say that these fall under the category of 'close enough'. I don't think everyone would notice the difference, but I can say they are at least 90% as good.  

Cheerios Chocolate Peanut Butter

Cheerios come in more flavors than I can name now days. This one was at my local discount store and I have to say it's just a bad idea. I mean, chocolate tastes best when it is chocolate and peanut butter tastes best when it is peanut butter.

You can get these if you want but they're just going to make you fat. I'm already fat, but I don't see these being all that great. Not as good as frosted flakes or honey nut anyway.

Galaxy Burgers Beef Dip

Galaxy Burgers can be found in Ontario or Cerritos California, which is why it's odd to find a Beef Dip as one of their sandwiches. Beef Dips are kind of a Eeast Coast/middle America thing.

The idea is that you get some crusty bread and dip it in broth to make it soft. Well, this dip came with so much beef that it was already soft for all the dripping and so I didn't really need to dip at all. 

I would say that this is a really good sandwich but best enjoyed in cold weather. Also, that was a lot of beef.

Luma Blood Orange Soda

Luma is what you drink when you have to have that whisky but you don't want to be fat like me. It's not like normal soda and is a little like really eating an orange. With fewer calories and not that much taste Luma blood orange is an alternative to diet soda that will not give me the runs. 

I can take it or leave it, but I bet it will kick real tail with the right vodka.  This is for sippin'

7 Eleven Gummi Watermelon Rings

Someone showed me their appreciation by giving me some 7 Eleven Gummi Watermelon Rings. Well, they're not bad. They taste like watermelon, sort of anyway. 

I shouldn't go about eating these things because they're bad for me, but if you're not a giant blob then try them because they taste good.

Soylent Vanilla

Soylent Vanilla is a meal in a bottle that tastes like a meal in a bottle which is not a good thing. You can't just add whisky to make that go away. It has that powdery flavor that isn't all that great. 

Is it bad? No, but there are better Soylents out there so get this only if you want the variety. 

Galaxy Hamburgers Fries

Galaxy Hamburgers Fries come in more than I can eat in one sitting. Are they great fries? Well, they are good enough to be worth eating but you get so many of them they are hard to eat and they aren't double fried fries so you can't take them to eat later.

It's always kind of hard for me to review fries anyway. What do you say about them? Moreover, everyone get some old fries every now and then, and so you have to have had a few orders to really get the feel. 

The major burger chains all have their own spin on the fries, but Galaxy only has two locations so they're are kind of, well, normal. 

Lunchables Ham & Cheddar

Lunchables Ham & Cheddar is just enough snack to make you feel like not eating for half an hour. Look, these things were on sale and I got a bunch of them and guess what? They taste great for being so simple. The only thing is that they don't fill you up. 

If you're going to eat Lunchables make sure to get something like an apple or some carrots to go with them. It will keep you full longer and not give you the can't poops.

Costco Kirkland Burger

Some Costco Food Courts have started selling burgers and as burgers go they were okay. Not dead on great but worth the price. I know it doesn't look like much, but it's all the limp right-off-the-grill burger you could want.

Look, all in all, I'm not going to stop buying my Costco pizza but I think these are just fine for those who don't like pizza. Also, those who don't like pizza have something wrong with them so they are not just fine. 

Hostess Peanut Butter HoHos

Hostess Peanut Butter HoHos are about as tasty as the old logs they look like. I mean, the peanut butter isn't like real peanut butter but rather some artificial crap that should never enter your body. 

You look at these things and think they have to be great, but they just let you down. Then again, HoHos kind of look like what you leave in the toilet anyway. 

Z!nt White Quinoa

Z!nt White Quinoa is what you get for yourself when white rice is too boring for you. Tip, add dill. Other tip, toast some in a pan and add it for a crunch. 

Quinoa is not the greatest stuff you can get for a starch, and most folks don't like it so much. It's good for you and this is fine quality. 

Galaxy Burger Lentil Soup

Galaxy Burger gives you soup or salad with your dinner and Lentil is a soup that comes up every now and then. If you get soup you may need a to go bag because the dinners are enough for one person. 

All and all, I think this came from a can but it's good for you so go to Galaxy Burger and get some will you. 

McDonald's Strawberry Banana Smoothy

McDonald's Strawberry Banana Smoothy is the kind of thing you get when you feel like you want something good for you, but the only thing you can get is this pink crap. 

It isn't bad. My straw kept getting clogged up when I drank this but, again, it was okay. I wouldn't get it again.

The Joker Mint Cookie Madness

The Joker Mint Cookie Madness is not as good as mint and chip and as ice cream goes isn't vary madness. I mean, it's okay, purple chocolate is a little off putting but there is nothing really mad about this. I would have added some salted caramel because I've tasted madness and it's salty all right.

FiCalini Purple Moon Wine Soaked Cheddar

FiCalini Purple Moon Wine Soaked Cheddar is fine cheese the eating of which will make you feel better than other people. It's a sharp cheddar, but if you don't like red wine it's not going to call to you. 

High quality stuff but needs to have proper accompaniment.

Dewey's Bakery Soft Baked Oranges & Cream Cookies

Dewey's Bakery Soft Baked Oranges & Cream Cookies kick massive monkey butt. I mean, these are some great cookies to have with coffee. Soft and chewy but not too rich these offer a surprising flavor that stands out among the cookies of the world. I wish there were more cookies like these.
