Limited Edition Cap'n Crunch's Halloween Crunch

So, the ghouls and ghosts are gone and the TP is off your lawn. You're worried about paying for all those Christmas gifts you need to by for people you don't like. Then you spy this 'Limited Edition Cap'n Crunch's Halloween Crunch' cereal and say "what fun the kids will have eating this. It turns their milk green with those little, um, are those little orange junks? How did Donald Trump's junk get in there? Who designed this cereal?!" 

Well, those orange things are supposed to be ghosts. They get all green in the milk then the green washes into the milk. They don't taste right. If you can get past the ghost things this tastes like normal Cap'n Crunch.

If you see this in stores after the holiday and it's discounted you may get away with giving it to your kids if you don't mind the free early onset diabetes they come with. Then again if you have them like I do with vegetables and eggs you should be okay. 

Burger King Nightmare King

I think they screwed up my order for the Burger King 'Nightmare King' because this doesn't have the green bun. I'm so disappointed. This thing is a joke. You want nightmares go smell mys sister after she eats this thing. 

Boo Berry Cereal

I think Boo Berry is the person the Lucky Charms Leprechaun hangs out with when his wife kicks him out of the house for coming home drunk. I'm not saying Lucky Charms is gay but I think he has bro sex every now and then after a few beers. 

That said this stuff is just kind of there. I find it unoffensive, but I can't figure why anyone would buy it unless its on sale which is why I did. It tastes like Fruity Pebbles with marshmallows. 

I do have to say I left it in the cabinet for so long that I'm surprised it's not stale so after the world ends you can chow down on this and Twinkies. 

Captain Morgan Jack-O Blast

Captain Morgan Jack-O Blast is not a great sipper if that's what your looking for in rum. The cloves linger with a bitterness that reminds me more of deep winter than fall and the need to keep the feeling in your hands. I can hardly taste the cinnamon. There are just too many cloves. 

Dumping this in tea didn't help all that much because the flavor, strong as it was alone, was easily over powered. 

Now, if you're looking for a party favor and another decoration Captain Morgan Jack-O Blast is fine enough and at a light 60 proof the blast is misleading. Still, it will mean one more drink before that one guy makes a mess on the rug. 

Mozart Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Cream Liqueur

'Mozart Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Cream Liqueur' is a drink with some bite to it so I'd mix it with something mild like coffee. This has a strong cinnamon note and is almost overpowering in it's flavor. I will also say that it does not go that well with hot coffee. This drink is best served cold and a little goes a long way. 

Still, this is a great addition to your Halloween party. It can be on the pricey side being more expensive than Balieys Irish Cream, but it is worth trying. 

White Reese's Peanut Butter Ghost

Notice that the word Chocolate does not appear any where on the package to these White Reese's Peanut Butter Ghost. There is no mention of any derivative of the coco tree. So these things may taste good but they are a concoction of chemicals not fit for human consumption. Feed these to you children if your want them to die young of heart problems. 

R. W. Knudsen Pumpkin Spice Sparkling Juice

The pumpkin spice nightmare continues with R. W. Knudsen Pumpkin Spice Sparkling Juice. The flavor of clove is a little too strong and the whole thing is best with cinnamon whisky. Now I got this stuff at a discount and I think it's okay. 

I think that most folks should try it before bringing it to a party because it really grows on some people.  I'm not a big cider fan to start with, but if you are this stuff may just be your bag.

Harris Teeter Crisp 6 Cereal

Crisp 6 Cereal by Harris Teeter is clearly a rip off of a more popular cereal. Thing is, this stuff is really good. I mean, I would get this again.

It's not a good cereal for eating without milk, I will grant you that, if you're goal is to eat this by the handful it not that great. Get this into the white and it's hard to say no to another bowl.  

Burger King Frozen Fanta Scary Black Cherry

Well, if pooping green is your thing then Burger King's Frozen Fanta Scary Black Cherry is so your jam. Me, I'm not into green things coming out of any part of my body so this was a little off putting. 

Was it good? It was okay. I wouldn't say you should run out and drink one and unless you're living in a hot place it's just the wrong time of year. 

McDonald's Bacon Smokehouse Burger

I made my way to a McDonald's to try some of those chicken tenders and they were all out. The real chicken is a big thing among the golden arch folk. Anyway, I had this Bacon Smokehouse Burger because it was the first thing on the menu that I haven't tried. 

Yeah, it tastes like it's made from real food. I mean, it's not In-n-Out quality but the meat was firm, the bacon was real, and that fried stuff did contain onion. 

Not bad, I would eat this again.    

Bailey's Coffee Creamer

Yes, I too find the idea of Bailey's Coffee Creamer confusing. It's like, I can't afford Bailey's so I'm going to use this crap and vodka.

This is not to say that the coffee creamer is a bad thing. I mean, it's good stuff. It's just that I don't get why you would drink this and not the real deal. 

I guess this is what you bring to the office and play getting drunk.  

Rockstar Pina Colada

A shot of vodka does wonders for this Rockstar Pina Colada which can use more colada if you ask me. You did ask me! This is my blog remember. 

Anyway, I don't normally drink Rockstar because you have more of a crash then with Monster. Then, it's my night off, as in I just got home from work and have to be back at eleven tomorrow night, so I can crash just a bit. 

One thing about these is that they don't get properly cold with ice. At least not as fast as other beverages. I think it's all that sugar. 

What am I saying here? Well, I'm not sure, I'm just a little drunk. Drink responsibly, chill this before serving, and no it's not as good as the real thing. 

Pioneer Cafe Low Calorie Plate

This may be the last thing I review at the Pioneer Cafe in Glendale because they changed their hours. The owner came up to me himself and apologized for the change.

In any case, the Low Calorie Plate is almost all protein. I mean, look at all those kinds of protein. You should eat this after a workout because it will get you jacked.    

Utz Halloween Pretzel Treats

Utz Halloween Pretzel Treats are pretzels shaped like Jack O' Lanterns and bats. Why you would give these out to trick or treaters is a question I can't answer but they go okay with Hummus. 

Now, if you know fine dining like I do you would know to have a pretzel between treats to let the salt wash the sweet away. This will give your sugar more kick. It will also brighten the faces of your kids if they get these in their Halloween candy because no kid I have ever met says 'look, mommy, I got pretzels!' on Halloween. 

Get some real candy Jack O' Ass. 

Imei Choco Roll Cookies Green Tea Flavor

Choco Roll Cookies have a green tea flavor, and I had to try them. This is an interesting choice for afternoon tea. I had them with coffee. I love coffee. 

In any case, to us Americans these are an interesting snack that will start a conversation with a friend. I need to try things that are nasty so I can make fun of them. These reviews are getting a bit dull. 

4Ocean Polar Bear Bracelet

The 4Ocean Polar Bear Bracelet  is an environmentalist statement designed to be simple. It's hard to see the white thread and clear beads as they sit on that table, but I can tell you they were there and they mean that I payed to have a pound of trash removed from the big blue. 

If you're the kind of person that wants the world to see what you did for the ocean then this may not be the right thing for you. If you want a clear statement, but not to flaunt your actions this is the right product for the well mannered conservationist. 

Rising Tide Buttermilk-Fried Tilapia Tenders

Rising Tide Buttermilk-Fried Tilapia Tenders cooked up right well without a lot of mess or dripping. I have to admit that I was surprised at how good these were.

As fish goes these are a reasonable addition to your dinner. They come out crisp and flaky with a mild fishy flavor. Not bad. 

Hansen's Natural Ginger Ale Dry

Hansen's Natural Ginger Ale Dry isn't a crisp ginger ale like you may expect from brands like Canada Dry. Neither live up to the name being wet but then I have no idea how a soda can be dry. I mean, I guess baking soda is dry, but what does that have to do with this? 

This is a soda that just needs something ... like whisky 

Phillips Projector 4 Flickering Designs

Phillips Projector  4 Flickering Designs is another Halloween decoration from Phillips and again I don't get why people by these. I mean, they look nifty at first but in the end aren't they just lazy? 

Pioneer Cafe Bacon and Eggs on Toast

Pioneer Cafe Bacon and Eggs on Toast is the wasted and hungry meal that some how got on a restaurant menu. This tastes fine and is filling but isn't it something you should be cobbling together when you have a hangover? 

Pioneer Cafe Grilled Salmon Dinner

Pioneer Cafe Grilled Salmon Dinner tastes a little fishy. It being fish I guess that's right. There are a lot of things that taste fishy in Glendale now that I think of it. 

In any case, this is rather basic, good for you, and boring.

Nos High Performance Energy Drink

Nos High Performance Energy Drink tastes like grapefruit. It's not a sweet as say a monster, but this stuff has a lot of power. I have to admit that the first one kept me up for more than sixteen hours. I think I still like monster better, but this is not bad.    

Corona Familiar

Corona Familiar is very close to the normal Corona, it's better with line, and is a little more of a full bodied drink for the cooler times of the day. Truth be told the difference is so small that most folks wouldn't notice unless you pointed it out. 

This is a Corona like any Corona but now in a brown bottle. 

Phillips Motion Projector Witches in Motion

My Nimbus approves this Phillips Motion Projector 'Witches in Motion' and I have a little video to show you the decoration as it works.  

This decoration was easy to set up and easy to use. Only you can figure out if it's right for your Halloween. Then again why are you buying off the rack Halloween decorations when making them is most of the fun.

Sorbabes Gourmet Sorbet Pistachio Sorbet with Sea Salted Caramel is one of those things that tastes exactly like Pistachio and yet is so sweet and satisfying. 

Eating this treat is like listening to calming music as you feel the winds coming off the sea cooling your face. Yeah, I mean, this stuff is really great. 

Kool-Aid Sparklers Orange

Kool-Aid Sparklers sounds like fireworks that are marketed to kids. The Orange flavor is just another orange soda. The claims about less sugar may just be that these are really small cans.

In any case, are you attached to Kool-Aid? If you are these are better than other soda. If you're not then these are just about as good as any.   

Pioneer Cafe Chef's Salad

This is a Chef's Salad at Pioneer Cafe. The thing is enormous. It was the first time a salad filled me up. I mean, look at that thing! 

Pioneer Cafe T.B.T.

Is a T.B.T. a thing? Turkey Bacon Tomato and Lettuce. Come to think of it why is a B.L.T. a thing? Anyway, the T.B.T. at Pioneer Cafe in Glendale is a simple idea that tastes classic and brightens your day. The only problem I have with this is that I want another one as soon as I've eaten the first.

Tucson Tamale Black Bean, Corn & Cheese Tamales

Tucson Tamale Black Bean, Corn & Cheese Tamales fall apart when you unwrap them. They taste all right but not great and in general will just fall short of being what you want. 

I'll say that these are good enough to get your guts moving so you'll have an easy time in the can after eating them. All in all, not really worth getting but filling. 

Hostess Brownies made with Nestle Butterfinger Candy Pieces

'Hostess Brownies made with Nestle Butterfinger Candy Pieces' are a product with a long name that makes me want to throw them at people in frustration. 

Further along that line, the Butterfinger Candy Pieces are only on the outside making them not a large part of the flavor of these brownies. The brownie part does just fine without augmentation leaving the rest to be a sugar rush that just gets you sick. 

I'd rather just have the Butterfinger or brownies.  

Monster Energy Juice Pipeline Punch

Monster Energy Juice Pipeline Punch is what you get if you let monster go flat I guess. I mean, it tastes fine, good really, but don't go thinking this is better for you than a normal monster. There are just too many Monsters out there now days. I mean, look at those things running this country. Oh and there are too many flavors of Monster Energy in my opinion. 

Panda Express Honey Sesame Chicken Breast

Panda Express Honey Sesame Chicken Breast has too much in the way of bell pepper and not enough in the way of green beans. That's not to say these were bad it's just that I only got two green beans. The chicken was crunchy and to be honest this was great. Wish I could have traded the rice for more green beans.  

Panda Express Honey Walnut Shrimp

Honey Walnut Shrimp is a premium item at Panda Express, and I can see why.  There aren't much in the way of walnuts but there are a good many in the way of breaded shrimp. These things are so good I had to stop and eat before I finished this review.
