Pho Whittier Pho Dac Biet (1. House Special Noodle Soup)

I was dining with a friend at Pho Whittier when he insisted I try some of his Pho Dac Biet. This is a soup of many meats with a strong cilantro flavor. I'm not big on tendon or tripe which are both in this soup. For that reason I would never order this on my own, but if I were served it at the Gulag I wouldn't be upset. That is to say, this is good food that simply doesn't appeal to me because of my Hebrew roots. My loss is your gain. It's cold outside. Have some of this stuff to warm up.  

Pho Whittier Number 78 Bun Ga Nuong, Tom Nuong Cha Gio

Pho Whittier  Number 78 Bun Ga Nuong, Tom Nuong Cha Gio is a dish on Vermicelli noodles and brimming with all kinds of food. 

I had no idea this would be so filling but it was hard to finish, because of all that Vermicelli and vegetables.  I Could have done without those onions, but then I don't like onions. 

Over all, great meal. 

Rick's Drive In & Out 'Bacon, Eggs, and Hash Browns'

Rick's Drive In & Out 'Bacon, Eggs, and Hash Browns' is one of those thing you have because it's always been a breakfast in the American spectrum. I wouldn't say there is much to note about this breakfast. It does the job, I mean, it's not bad just not great. 

Forking Good Cafe Breakfast Pizza Green Eggs and Ham

A few days before I walked into Forking Good Cafe in uptown Whittier California I was asked if I would try "Green Eggs & Ham". Well, yes I would, Sam I Am.

Then I opened up the Forking Good menu and there it was telling me to put my money where my mouth is. This was great. 

I will say the greens were a bit much and had to be eaten before I finished the pizza rather than on slice. There was an egg in the middle that was runny. All in all, this was a new dining experience for me and I don't get those often.

Pho-Ology Rocket Shrimp

Pho-Ology Rocket Shrimp is something of a new take on fried shrimp only instead of battering them you wrap them in rice paper. I have to say I liked these. I'm not sure I like them more than the more traditional American shrimp but they were something new.

All in all, if you have a small party and you go to Pho-Ology then get these because they're good. Pricy for what you get but good.
