 Rice-A-Roni Rustic Recipes Long Grain & Wild Rice was on sale at such a great price I could have got it to feed the birds. The only real problem with this is that the wild rice is in the spice packet and I don't know how the birds would react to "rustic" spice. 

Rustic, by the way, means simple or 'of the rural nature' so this is a little misleading as that would just mean un-spiced or lightly spiced. 

Anyway, this stuff is just fine. I like it enough. I can't say that it jumped out at me but I can't say that I'm unhappy to have about a dozen boxes. Yeah, I should still give them to the homeless.

Uncle Ben's Long Grain & Wild Rice

 Uncle Ben's Long Grain & Wild Rice comes with so many herbs that it turns the water green. I'm told the icon of Uncle Ben is now considered offensive so it's going away. Funny how this kindly old man can get people upset. 

Anyway, rice isn't all that interesting, but this rice is not a bad idea. It's past just being rice which warrants it's box and price for the most part and really is more convenient than making this on your own.

You can make it on your own with less salt, but as I added no salt to any of food you see here then I don't think the rice was all that big of an issue. 

Miss you old man, you make some good rice.
