Castello Garlic & Herb Whipped Cheese Dip

I almost never eat Cheese Dip but this Castello Garlic & Herb Whipped Cheese Dip was on sale and there was no hummus I hadn’t tried to be had. Whipped or  not cheese dip is just not as good for you as hummus.

This dip sure had a lot of flavor and it was very good even if it was the kind of thing that makes you need to brush your teeth after. I still found it to be a bit much for chips and you needed good fresh cucumber to scoop this but if you have everything right it is delightful.

I think this would be welcome at a dinner party but I also think it’s going to be what you put on the carrots.

Castello Aged Gouda

Castello Aged Gouda is a hard cheese that will crumble under your knife if it is not sharp enough. It has a strong flavor that lends itself to salads and Hors D'oeuvre but don't try to slice this for your sandwich.

I also noted that large chunks broke off as I grated this but what I was cooking was not meant for fine cheese.

I don't believe I detected the nutty flavor advertised for this product, but there was a strong cheese flavor, and as it never specified what kind of nuts I guess they could be cheesy.

If cheese with a robust flavor is your thing this is good cheese. I'm not all that much of a cheese snob, but I have to admit this appears to be a high quality product.

Castello Creamy Havarti

Castello Creamy Havarti is not my kind of cheese. It is creamy but hard to cut and sticks to your knife.

It is a strong flavored cheese that will very much compliment more distinct crackers. I'm not sure what else one would do with this but it's some good stuff really.

I had to admit it's just too fancy for me. I don't know if this is something you can melt over your nachos.

Castello Danish Blue Cheese Extra Creamy

In the world of stinky cheese Castello Danish Blue Cheese Extra Creamy is very stinky. I still smelled it a day after eating it even after washing and showering. This is the kind of cheese you don't want to have come in contact with your hands.

Past that, all that stink makes it very flavorful. I will admit that if your into that flavor you may also have a foot fetish, but this cheese has a taste.
