First Street Gummi Brains

 If you were hoping for the flavor and texture of real brains I can tell you that First Street Gummi Brains are a bust. These are chewy and feel odd in your mouth. 

I'll grant they will look good at your party tonight but they taste kind of like blueberry and are the kind of thing you wind up eating the next day hoping they'll help your hangover. They won't. 

Hyde and Eek Mummy Sugar Cookie

The Hyde and Eek Mummy Sugar Cookie was at my local Target last year and I must admit they were stale on Halloween. I didn't eat a whole lot of cookies that day but I did eat a few and this one was a bust.

I'd skip these if I were you.
 

Charms Fluffy Stuff Spider Web Cotton Candy Sour Apple

 I'm not sure what I was expecting from this Charms Fluffy Stuff Spider Web Cotton Candy Sour Apple but it's just cotton candy. I would say that it is very sour apple flavored and that I find the flavor to be rather good.

Still, it doesn't give me any spider web vibes. I mean, what was I supposed to do spread this stuff around like webbing?  

This is just sour apple cotton candy in a Halloween bag, which is bad, but it is good sour apple cotton candy, which is good. 

Liquid Death Berry it Alive

 

Liquid Death is a water company that sells posh water that helps the environment, and 'Berry it Alive' is one of their punny flavors. This water is not without Calories, it only has twenty, but as water goes it's good stuff. 

I have to admit that I mostly like this because of the very cool name, but it's better for me than soda. Still, really cool name.

Burger King Halloween Crown

 Here we have the Burger King Halloween Crown. I used to love these thing when I was small. Now they don't fit on my massive head. You can run down to the local fast food monarch and get one of these for free. Kids are dumb so they may get a real kick out of this.

Hyde & EEK! Ghost Cookie

 The Hyde & EEK! Ghost Cookie is one of those things you get that are best used to decorate your home rather than eat. The only problem with that is that these cookies will fall and brake and then you have crumbs. 

The day after Halloween you should have these with coffee. The week after Halloween these are best used as bird food because they are hard and stale.

HMR Lasagna with Meat Sauce

 I ran across these HMR meals online and they were a good price and needing no refrigeration were the perfect thing for me to take to work.

I wouldn't call the Lasagna with Meat Sauce great but it can be eaten cold and on post. For a man known for working posts in the middle of nowhere I think these are good to have. 

I'd like to keep a few in my car just in case I have to work a long shift.  

Trolli Sour Crunch Crawlers Berry Lemonade

 Trolli Sour Crunch Crawlers Berry Lemonade are hard to chew. They are really an interesting candy. I don't know if I would call them good but if you like sour you really should try these. 

These things are sour and hard to chew. I would go on to say that you will get tired of chewing before you finish the bag so it may take you longer to eat these than other sour candy. 

Point for different, but I'm still too fat to eat more of them.

Peeps Pumpkins

When you look at these Peeps Pumpkins you can tell that almost no thought went into them. A pumpkin is not a Jack O' Lantern, and a Jack O' Lantern does not need to be made of pumpkin. 

Past that, these are marshmallow covered in sugar.  I guess they're okay, but I'd like something better to give me diabetes.
 

Starbucks Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf

 The people have spoken and they want more Starbucks so I tried the Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf. It was good, I don't know if it's Starbucks price good but it did taste like pumpkin spice. 

It's the perfect thing to have with coffee really. I would still have liked the spice flavor to be stronger but when is that not true. The contrast with coffee would still be strong. 

I have to admit that I would like to have more of this, but I'm fat and shouldn't eat this sort of thing. 

Hyde and Eek Jack-o-Lantern Cookie

 The Hyde and Eek Jack-o-Lantern Cookie are the kind of thing that you would call biscuits even in America because of their dull flavor. Festive as they may be I cry for the starving people of the world knowing that we eat these in the United States. I wish I could send these to starving people and so not have to eat them myself. 

This is so fail that without the coffee they would be inedible. 

Peeps Marshmallow Monsters

Peeps Marshmallow Monsters have something of a misleading name, because they are all stuck together so you only get one and Frankenstein's Monster is more of a creature. 

They didn't do anything interesting with these. They are just colored sugar covered marshmallows. That means they are really bad for you and just something to make the kids stop talking as you admire the cleavage on their mother's which costume. 

Now I'm going to go find one of my friends who is hot and has kids and tell her to be a hot witch this year. 
 

Tootsie Ghost Dots

 Ghost Dots by Tootsie are Dots without the color. They get stuck in your teeth just the same and don't remind me of ghosts. If you were making a Halloween cookie house you could paint faces on these to make them ghosts, but as they are they don't really go far enough. 

If you like Dots or gumdrops in general these are okay, but they bring nothing to the world of the spooky. As these are a party snak over a give to the munchkins kind of thing I have to say I don't care for them.

Red Vines Twists Black Licorice

 Red Vines get there name from their cheery flavor which is not licorice. I would have to point out that I'm not dead sure that their Twists Black Licorice has any more licorice in it, and I'm not going to look because I don't eat these all that often and don't need them ruined for me. 

I honestly love these things and would eat them a lot more if I were not a fat diabetic.

Use these as the hair for your Halloween which candy monster or dreadlocks on your Predator cake. If I could I would try every flavor of Red Vines and then I would probably want more of these.  

Starbucks Impossible™ Breakfast Sandwich

 The Starbucks Impossible Breakfast Sandwich is not vegan. I'll grant you that I'm also not a vegan and so this doesn't bother me, but I do try a good amount of vegan food.

The goal of vegan food is to be as good as the real deal so that people will give up eating meat. This fell well short of that goal, but I will admit I didn't mind it. I wouldn't really get it again, but it was okay. 

Burger King Ghost Pepper Whopper

 Burger King is getting harder to find in my area. That could be because everyone I walk into has a pissed off staff. I don't know what it is. 

Anyway, the new Halloween Ghost Pepper Whopper was hot enough so that I had to switch from slushy to soda to keep my mouth cool. It was an okay burger that really had some heat for a fast food offering. 

I would still have added ketchup but to be honest I think the staff just wanted me out of there as fast as possible. 

Hershey's Halloween Props Milk Chocolate Bar

Hershey's Halloween Props Milk Chocolate Bar combined the wonder of a Hershey's Bar and the nonsensical idea of collecting chocolate. It says you can collect all six but you can't tell which is which until you unwrap them and once you do that why would you not eat them? 

Again, you can just ignore what is printed in the chocolate and eat these. Given the fact that they will go on sale after Halloween then I have to call that a win.

It just goes to show you that you can't do better than a Hershey's bar. I can't have many of them because I'm too fat, but that's my problem and not yours. 
 

McDonald's Mango Pineapple Smoothie

 Before even tasting this McDonald's Mango Pineapple Smoothie I can give you a reason not to buy one. They can really take forever to make. It took forever to get me this smoothie and McDonald's wanted to just give me any other drink instead which would not have been as expensive.

Then you get the thing and it's all sugar and no mango or pineapple. This should have been tart and it wasn't.  

I had also thought that not ordering a soda would have left fewer trips to the restroom for my diabetic tail but nope. This is all sugar and it made me sick drinking it.  

I mean, it tasted okay but just wasn't what I paid for and wasn't worth the price.  

Totino's Cheese Pizza Rolls

You may be looking to binge a few horror films like a normal person some time soon and Totino's Cheese Pizza Rolls look like a good option for a horror movie snack. I wasn't too impressed but I would advise you to cook the heck out of them and not eat them too soon out of the oven. 

 They don't leave you wanting more. Maybe if I had something to dip them in they would have been better but they don't remind me of pizza at all.

These are okay, just okay.
 

Carl's Jr. Big Char Chile Angus Burger

The Carl's Jr. Big Char Chile Angus smelled like meat. I mean, that's a good thing. reminded me of my youth eating at a local restaurant that has gone down hill and nearly killed my brother. 

There was some pink slime on this that made it a little goopy but past that it wasn't bad. Your enjoyment of this will depend on how much you like green chili pepper which is the big new thing for this burger. 

Not bad, but not my thing.
 

Jack in the Box Angry Monster Taco

 Jack in the Box Angry Monster Taco is a Monster Taco with a red shell. There is a little more flavor in that red shell but not very much to be honest. 

I'm not into spicy food and these tacos get a bit more messy when they get bigger so this was something of a fail to me. I would never have ordered them if it were not for this blog.

If you're a fan of the Jack Tacos then go for this. If not, give it a pass.  

Jack in the Box Classic Chicken Sauced & Loaded Sando

 I came in to work one day and was offered a Jack in the Box Classic Chicken Sauced & Loaded Sando which had been sitting around for a few hours. As no one else wanted it I ate the thing and as I had not reviewed them before I figured why not?

This is two chicken strips on a grill hotdog bun with a few fries and some cheese and goop on top. It's not bad. I mean, for having sat around a wile it was still good and not soggy at all. 

It didn't keep in the bun all that well with stuff falling out but other than needing a napkin this was something I would try again.

Sour Punch Watermelon Straws

 Sour Punch Watermelon Straws taste nothing like watermelon. I guess it's the sour that hides the flavor. I can't say I dislike them but I can't say I would call them watermelon either. 

If sour is your deal you will like these enough. If you're looking for watermelon you'd be disappointed.

Wendy's Pumpkin Spice Frosty Cream Cold Brew

 Lookout Starbucks Wendy's Pumpkin Spice Frosty Cream Cold Brew actually tastes like pumpkin spice. I mean, I'm not running back for another one. I'm so fat I would have to have it with a salad if I did. 

If the flavor of pumpkin spice is what your looking for this is where you go. Good job Wendy's, maybe I won't wait three years to see you again. 

Jack in the Box Pumpkin Croissant Bites

 Jack in the Box Pumpkin Croissant Bites are so sugary that they had me running to the restroom all night at work. That's what you get when you're a diabetic. 

They aren't all that pumpkin spice but I guess these are good enough. I mean, they're okay if you don't have a gut like mine.

Wendy's Loaded Nacho Double Cheeseburger

 Wendy's Loaded Nacho Double Cheeseburger has lettuce, tomato, crisped onions and corn nuts topped off with some pinkish slime that got all over the place. It was a lot better after I scraped away the pink slime.

I think the baconator is better and I wouldn't get this again, but it was a big burger that filled me up. I think there was just too much going on to make it worth eating. 

This isn't something you'll miss when it's gone. It isn't very macho, and if you normally don't go to Wendy's then this will not draw you in.  

It's not bad but not great. 

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino

 Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino needs less sugar and more spice and coffee. I mean, I used to love these things back in the day but I got them out of a bottle and they were not blended with ice. 

The ice makes them like ice cream and so a lot for fun for me, but it also cuts out the flavor and makes them less enjoyable. 

Drinking one of these had be running to the restroom as the sugar made me sick but you're probably not a fat man with my health issues so go drink away.

Wendy's Queso Fries

 Wendy's Queso Fries are a combination of potatoes, cheese, and cheese like slime that has peppers in it. I would have liked fries with ketchup better. There isn't enough real cheese to make this worth buying. 

I give them a pass.

Java Monster Nitro Cold Brew Sweet Black

 Java Monster Nitro Cold Brew Sweet Black is a low calorie energy drink that would feel redundant if you don't know the concept of the modern energy drink.

Here you get the concept of the energy drink along with the chemical properties of coffee which should keep you up like nobodies business. 

I wouldn't know at this point, because caffeine doesn't do it for me anymore. Still, it tastes good and is a smooth flavor. I call this a win and would get more.

Wendy’s Pumpkin Spice Frosty

 You folks should know I'm not the biggest fan of Wendy’s and my phone told me that I hadn't been to one in three years. I used to go there with my brother and well ... Anyway their Pumpkin Spice Frosty has got to be the best pumpkin spice thing I've had this year. That is a low bar, but it's the closest thing I've had to ice cream for some time. I think the good old Thrifty ice cream was my jam back in the day but I haven't had their pumpkin spice in more than twenty years. 

This is a buy for the 2023 holiday season. You should still have them in moderation. 

Del Taco NEW Epic Honey Chipotle BBQ Brisket & Bacon Burrito

 The Del Taco NEW Epic Honey Chipotle BBQ Brisket & Bacon Burrito sounds so much better than it is. Its okay, could use more brisket and less sour cream really. I'm not sure why there is sour cream in this but it feels out of place. 

On the up side it is easy to eat and can be consumed in your car without too much worry of spilling.  

You're not going to miss much if you miss out on this, but it is worth a try. 

Starbucks 2023 Ice Pumpkin Spice Latte

 Starbucks 2023 Ice Pumpkin Spice Latte could use more of the spice. I mean, the way we put pumpkin spice in everything this time of year you would think it was spice from Dune and going to give us visions of the future and ever lasting life.

If that had been so I can say this drink will not give you anything, because I couldn't really taste the spice. I wouldn't get this again but I'm sure I'll get one next year anyway. 

Werther's Original Soft Harvest Apple Caramel Candy

Werther's Original Soft Harvest Apple Caramel Candy have everything you would want in a caramel apple save for the crisp of the apple and its health benefits. 

Yeah, it would probably be better for you to eat a real caramel apple. The apple would also taste better, but it wouldn't be as easy to share one with a friend. 

These are not as rich as most candies I come across but they are rather good with an old time feel to them. I would recommend them for the casual candy consumer but they may not be enough for the real candy hog.
