Cherry RC

 Cherry RC is a rare bird. I have only seen it once and after trying it I can't figure out why. It's not bad. I may like RC Cola better but every now and then I want some cherry in my soda. 

To be honest, this stuff really grew on me as I drank more. Too bad I can't find it any longer. Then again, I shouldn't drink that much soda.

Ore-Ida Original Butter Homestyle Mashed Potatoes

Ore-Ida Original Butter Homestyle Mashed Potatoes don't taste very buttery or home made. Then, I'm not sure you would want home made tasting potatoes. My mother wasn't that great of a cook to be honest. 

Anyway, these are okay mashed potatoes. I think the point of them is just to exist and fill the void we need to fill with mashed potatoes. Most people put things on them anyway and do not scoop them up with artichoke leaves like I did here.
 

Mission Large Garden Spinach & Herb Wrap Tortillas

 Mission Garden Spinach & Herb Wrap Tortillas are good right out of the bag, but they don't so much taste like herb. I mean, spinach has a flavor, but you don't want to taste it in your wrap. I don't mind the spinach flavor being missing but if it says herb I should get some herb in there.

Anyway, me being a big fat dude I think I went and got these things three or four times before I took pictures for this review. These things really kick tail, and I think you should try them. 

Good stuff.

Bourbon Brothers Beef Meatballs In Bbq Sauce

 Bourbon Brothers Beef Meatballs In Bbq Sauce are good meatballs. they aren't those nasty squishy things that you normally get at the store. The sauce is smoky and has enough flavor but the pack is way too big for what you get. They could have had half the box for what they give you. 

These are okay, but I wouldn't get them again.

Aidells Pineapple & Bacon Sausage

 Aidells Pineapple & Bacon Sausage sounds like something I wouldn't like. I don't like pineapple on pizza and the idea of bacon in a sausage defeats the reason one would want bacon.

That doesn't change the fact that this isn't bad. The high sugar content makes it char up good. I found this to be best sliced and cooked rather than just on the pan whole like I have them here. 

They look cooked before they're hot all the way through, but they do taste good.

Taco Bell Freeze

 I asked for a watermelon Freeze at my local taco bell and they didn't have them so I got this which tasted like nothing and gave me a brain freeze. 

If you need to cool off in this heatwave these can bring the pain and put you on your ass but they will cool you off. 

The best thing to hydrate with is normally water. That is not always true but in this heat keep water on hand and don't drink these too fast. I drank this too fast and paid for it.

Starbucks Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte

 New at Starbucks is the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte. It does not say pumpkin spice, and it is not pumpkin spice in any way. thing tasted mostly like the green tea that I guess was Chai flavor. 

One tip is to mix it so that cream on top will give it more body. Still, this is kind of watery and not all that great. 

I have to say this one is something of a skip. 

Dulcesol Black Tiramisu

 Dulcesol Black Tiramisu looks like the best thing that ever came in one of those packs. I'm not a big fan of these kinds of cakes, you'd never know it by looking at me, but I'm a fan of the coffee I have with them. 

In fact, at my house I used to have drinking coffee and dipping coffee. Dipping coffee is more like espresso.

Before you dip this in coffee it is dry and lacking in flavor but the coffee really adds richness to the cake and makes it better. I still wouldn't get this again but I should have never gotten this in the first place. 

There are days I really hate being the blob.

Oroweat Keto Bread

 Oroweat Keto Bread is what you would think bread would be like on a space station after we left earth and could no longer farm wheat. It is bread without the charm or flavor instead being spongy and dry. If you cover it in avocado you can get it down, but it just isn't very good. 

I have eaten half a loaf of this, as I need to use up my avocados, but I would not get it again. 

Twix Iced Coffee by Victor Allen's

 Twix Iced Coffee by Victor Allen's sounds like the best thing I've had all month. So why isn't it all over the place? Well, taste it and you find that it's good but not like drinking a Twix bar at all. 

It also could use a lot more coffee. I mean, tastes like chocolate. Not a lot of coffee in there. 

Phocus Cola Caffeinated Sparkling Water

 This review is coming a bit late and it's for Phocus Cola Caffeinated Sparkling Water which should have perked me up a bit to write it. Sadly, it really didn't hit like a monster but it wasn't bad as an energy drink. It was funny as a cola. I mean, it was not sweet at all, which is to be expected, but cola is not a common sparkling water flavor. 

All and all, I would have to say this is like True North which I drink all the time. It is not the worst flavor I've had and not the best. I think they tend to be best when fruity. I would say this is okay and worth trying for those long nights at work. 

Riceland Rice 'N Easy Yucatán Arroz Rojo Rice

Riceland Rice 'N Easy Yucatán Arroz Rojo Rice will jump out of your frying pan if you try to warm it up that way. I like warming it up that way because it gives the rice a crunch. 

This is rice made with tomato paste which is less of a thing than Mexican red rice which is made with spice tomato paste. This has more of a tomato flavor but has no spice. 

This Arroz Rojo Rice will add a splash of color to your meal and be a little more interesting than normal rice. I like the idea, but I never could get behind ready made rice. 
 

Leonetti's Hand Crafted Stromboli Steak and Cheese

 Leonetti's Hand Crafted Stromboli Steak and Cheese came to my local market and looked like food I should try being simple and easy to make. Pop it in the oven or microwave and your good. 

Best out of the oven I will admit that these are kind of messy. Not bad, to be honest. They would be better with some dipping sauce, but not bad.

A little on the small side as well. 

Thomas' Sourdough English Muffins

 Someone must have left the sour out of these Thomas' Sourdough English Muffins because they were not sour at all. I'm not a fan of sourdough, but if I do buy it I think it should be sour. 

I mean, if it isn't sour then it's just dough.

P.F.Changes Kungo Pao Cauliflower

 P.F.Changes Kungo Pao Cauliflower is not a bad snack in the world of cauliflower. It is still cauliflower, but it doesn't taste old or stale like most cauliflower you get frozen. 

The smaller the pieces the better they taste and it is best to use the sauce for dipping rather than what I've done here which is cover the stuff from the start. 

Covering the cauliflower in the sauce will just make it soggy. 

If you really don't care for cauliflower then this will not get you into the brain like bloom. If you can tolerate the vegetable then this is worth trying.

Good & Gather Organic Elbow & Cheddar Macaroni Cheese

 Good & Gather Organic Elbow & Cheddar Macaroni Cheese basically tastes like Mac and Cheese. Shocking I know, but I'm thinking it's about the organic for most people. 

If you are an organic eater this will do the job like most products of it's nature. I'm not sure what organic even really means for this kind of thing but this is just as good as any mac and cheese I've had.

Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade

 Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade is a strangely summer flavor that is made to both cool you off and help you with digestion. It's not a sweet as normal Canada Dry but I can say this is a great flavor. Canada Dry is a trusted brand and this is a offering that fits with that trust. 

Good stuff, would buy again.

Hormel Compleats Rice & Chicken

 Hormel Compleats Rice & Chicken is a little too wet making the rice turn into goo which turns the overall dish into a brick. It gets a little like soup if you heat it up. 

Once you get past the appearance, this stuff isn't bad. I'm not saying it's as good as the frozen Chicken and Rice I have had, but it is not too bad. 

These are good enough for you to eat and bad enough for you to not want to snack on them when your at home, and save them for work. I would buy these again at a good price.

McDonald's Cookies & Creme Pie

 The McDonald's Cookies & Creme Pie is a disappointing new offering from the golden arches. I mean, the thing was flavorless. I did have orange juice before eating this, but it still had no flavor. 

I wouldn't have known it was pie if I hadn't ordered pie.  

Give this a pass, it's not worth it. 

McCafé OREO Frappé

 McCafé OREO Frappé is one watery offering from the golden arches with ice shards. McDonald's doesn't come to mind when I thin of one of these but this one was a  sad fail. 

It was just too think and had too much ice to be good. It was still milk, sugar, and cookies but it was watery milk, sugar, and cookies.

Michelina's Meatball Marinara Signature Bowl

 Michelina's Meatball Marinara Signature Bowl is not something you get if you want it fast. It needs to be heated, stirred, heated, and cooled. The result isn't all that good, it's not bad, but not very good. 

It could be a bit more meaty or have some vegetables to balance it out. However, the big failing in this is it's blandness. Not a lot of herbs on this marinara. I'm not sure what one would even call marinara but I would rather just call this tomato because that was all I tasted.

Blue Diamond Almonds Tasty Little Cup Confetti Cake

 Blue Diamond Almonds is now into Almond Flour and with it they make these Tasty Little Cup Confetti Cakes. It doesn't take a lot of water to make these and they are very sweet. I did need some milk to go along with this because it was dry but I have to admit it wasn't bad. 

I love almonds and would rather eat a handful of them than this, but this wasn't bad. 

Lunchables Turkey & American Cheese Cracker Snack

 When I think of Lunchables I think of some overworked parent buying them for a child they almost never get to see. Then I got these Turkey & American Cheese Cracker Snack boxes and I still feel depressed for parents of the modern generation. 

That is not to say that I mind these, if you get them for less than two dollars each as I did at the discount store then they aren't bad. It's just that the world around them is depressing. I mean, they aren't all that good for you and I don't remember anyone asking me to wash my hands before lunch like I should have as a kid. 

Still, these are fun, they just need a little more good for you.

Magic Spoon Grain-Free Cereal Maple Waffle

 When Magic Spoon Grain-Free Cereal found it's way to my local discount market I was head over heals to try some. I had heard so much about this being better than normal cereal. I love cereal. I'm a big fat dude who could use this stuff. 

Well, in addition for being ten bucks a box this Maple Waffle cereal taste synthetic. Me being a fat dude, I didn't finish the box. I just left it because it sucks. 

I guess this found it's way to the discount store for a reason. I hope their other flavors are better. 

Betty Crocker Loaded Mashed Potatoes

 Betty Crocker Loaded Mashed Potatoes tasted more like normal mashed potatoes to me. I mean, they weren't very loaded and I guess if loaded was a thing you should really want to do you would never go from this mix. You need to load loaded mashed potatoes and that means a lot of topping and all kinds of stuff mixed in. 

I wouldn't call this bad, just something that doesn't live up to its name. If you want to load some mashed potatoes these will work fine but so will most mashed potatoes. 

To put it another way, they forgot to load them.

Wai Lana Nacho Cheese Rice Crisps

 Wai Lana Nacho Cheese Rice Crisps are lighter and crisper than tortilla chips but they do come with that vegan stamp and for vegan food they are rather good. I can't say I'll be running back to these any time soon, but they are good enough for party food.

Twix Salted Caramel

Salted Caramel will become more common until the holidays when it will be everywhere and then no where but the discount rack with the new year. Why do we salt caramel? Salting makes the flavors pop.

Twix Salted Caramel is an improvement over a normal Twix I'll be it worse for you if you eat a western diet which is high in salt. 

In other words, this is a snack that will taste better and kill you faster at the same time as most snacks do. They kill me so good.
 

Alessi Sesame Breadsticks

 Alessi Sesame Breadsticks are a palate cleanser meant to wash away the flavor of food so it can be tasted in a fresh way. Why something like that would need to be imported I don't know, but here they are dry and mild. 

This kind of food is meant for those who know how to dine rather than those who want to have the right experience. You need to know went to take a bite of one of these to get their full impact. 

If you're not a foody who knows about that sort of thing you may just find these dry and flavorless.

Near East Rice Pilaf Mix Wild Mushroom & Herb

If you were hoping for a wild time with this Near East Rice Pilaf Mix Wild Mushroom & Herb you'll be disappointed. There are no wild mushroom hallucinations to be had. This Herb guy didn't show up either and so I had my salmon, rice, and vegetables in the company of my cat army. Captain Caramel was discussing taking over Australia but I told him I didn't see the point. 

Talking cats aside, this stuff could have used some kind of mushrooms for sure, wild or otherwise, as mushrooms are more a texture than a taste. I find this to be serviceable if nothing else. Not interesting but it gets the job done. 
 

Super Stack Salt and Vinegar Potato Crisps

 Super Stack Salt and Vinegar Potato Crisps are what one expects from salt and vinegar crisps. The vinegar flavor is hard to take, but manageable, and the crisps are thicker than Pringles. 

If you like this sort of chip then I think you will like these. I normally need to put vinegar chips in my sandwich to take the edge off that flavor, but these I can eat right out of the tube.

First Street Lemon Fruit Pie

 This time of year many a person brain shifts out of summer and into the idea of what to pack in their child's lunch. I mean, not me, but a good number of people. If your kid is a lemon lover these First Street Lemon Fruit Pies can be found at your local Smart and Final. 

I have to say these are fine. I like the fact that they are fine because if they were not fine I would eat them all before getting time to review them. 

I would say these are a good addition to the cabinet if not very good for you. I mean, you should give your child apples but they will eat these pies.
