Big K Soda Root Beer

 So someone is looking around for some root beer to make floats tonight and Big K Soda Root Beer available at Ralph's may be your only hope. Good news is that this is good enough to work even if you're not so hammered that you could be drinking mud and not notice. 

Knockoff root beer generally tastes fine the first glass and starts to show it's colors as you drink. I think I could go four glasses into this before noticing it's not name brand.

Mediteranico Black Berry Spread

 Mediteranico Black Berry Spread is a find thing to make your sandwich with. It is not jelly so you should be clear that this is not a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. However, jelly is made with fruit juice and I think this is made with the whole fruit making it better for you. 

This is a reasonably good spread, not to rich, and easy to get on your bread. I would buy again.

Dr. Pepper & Cream Soda

 Dr. Pepper & Cream Soda is now a thing you can buy in one can. Why you can now buy this I don't know as the two flavors aren't that well suited for each other. 

Dr. Pepper is a early form of energy drink having taken the 'pick me up' spot from cola and ran with it until Red Bull came around. I'm fond of the doctor but it's not that smooth, and this is even less smooth of a drink. 

That said, it will hide your cheap vodka on new years so people can get plastered for less, feel like crap, and lose their job the next day. 

Drink responsibly, kids, and this stuff is okay for that. 

Grand'Mere, Organic Egg Pasta Bi-color Nests

 Grand'Mere, Organic Egg Pasta Bi-color Nests haven't much of a flavor and they are a bit more textured than most pastas I've eaten. I have to say, pasta isn't going to make all that much of a difference in flavor so mouth feel and look are big parts of the product. 

The problem is, I haven't much of an opinion of this at all and given that I'm writing a review that is a problem. I don't know, it's free range eggs so by if you like chickens but not enough to not eat their children. 

The Conqueror Grand Canyon Virtual Challenge

 In the world of 'The Conqueror' the 'Grand Canyon Virtual Challenge' is one of the more simple ideas that come across. It is a solid glazed medallion with no moving parts. It also means that I planted five trees and walked something like two hundred miles. That means having one makes me a good person.

Wired X Berry Rush

 As the time of the great hangover draws near Wired X Berry Rush sounds like a good idea. To be honest, it will get the job done. I don't take it over my good old Monster or Venom, but it has enough kick to keep you moving with a headache. I still haven't had a hangover, but that's not the point. 

Hershey's Candy Coated Milk Chocolate in a Santa

 Hershey's Candy Coated Milk Chocolates come in a bag that looks like Santa's head. I wouldn't want to eat Santa's head in any way shape or form but Christmas is the time for that sort of thing. 

This is a name brand bag of knock off M&M's. If they go on sale it's okay to buy these, but getting them at full price is a little silly. 

Seattle Chocolate Peanut Butter Crisp

 There is little crisp and not enough peanut butter in this Seattle Chocolate Peanut Butter Crisp bar. I think these things run a good four dollars each, I got them half off, and I have to say they are not worth the price. This is not to say they are bad but I would think for that much money I'd be saving the rain forest or something.

M&M's White Chocolate Candies Sugar Cookies

 M&M's White Chocolate Candies Sugar Cookies are almost all cookie. I mean, there is so little of what we call white chocolate that I would not have thought of these as M&M's to start with. 

These are candy, and so bad for you, so I would have to say if you come across them in the for sale bin after Christmas as I did then try them. If you see them at the normal price they aren't worth it at all.

They're good for a change but not as good as the classic. 

Seattle Chocolate Candy Cane Crunch

Seattle Chocolate Candy Cane Crunch is a minty sort of chocolate, but the darkness is not that bitter and the candy cane not that crunch. This is a chocolate bar for a more defined pallet. It would go well with a wet red wine I think. 

Not so much for the average man.

 Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Candy Reindeer is a bag of brown Reese's Pieces. Only you can tell if this is for you. I only buy them on sale.

Private Selection Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Soft Caramels Holiday Edition

 Private Selection Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Soft Caramels Holiday Edition are only holiday because of the snowflakes on the box. They have the right salt to sugar ratio and the salt is in large enough chunks to be a distinctive flavor melting in your mouth. 

I have to say these are a fine chocolate which is why I should never eat them, because I'm a fat monster.

M&M'S Peppermint White Chocolate

 M&M'S Peppermint White Chocolate make me ask why everything is coming out white chocolate. I'm not the biggest fan of white chocolate and I think it's the easiest to synthesize. 

Are these bad? No, but they are not as good as their milk chocolate counterparts. If peppermint is your deal then buy these, otherwise let them be.

Reese's Cookie Skillet Kit

I can't help but think that whoever came up with this idea had iron skillets sitting about because it's a hell of a lot of work for one cookie like thing. The Reese's Cookie Skillet Kit has a real iron skillet that needs to be cured before used. That means being washed and then cured in an oven for several hours. They recommend curing two or three times. 

Once you cooked the crap out of the skillet you may make your cookie, but you need a spoon of egg. They couldn't just put the egg in there and make it so you just need water, no that would be too easy. 

Then, after a day of work, you can now cook the cookie which tastes like nothing and is more like a pancake. Then you have an iron skillet sitting around that is just small enough to cook one egg. 

Seattle Chocolate Holiday Spiced Nuts Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar

 Holiday Spiced Nuts sound like what you call drunks who drank too much pumpkin spiced everything. However, it is a dark chocolate truffle bar from Seattle Chocolate.  This bar is also non-gmo, vegan, and Gluten Free. If you didn't feel good enough about yourself for buying it the company is women owned.

Anyway, this is a chocolate bar fit for having with red wine with the flavor centered around the nuts. It's no snickers, but it is a mix of flavors for the refined pallet.

Hershey's Mini Kisses Brownie Skillet Kit

The Hershey's Mini Kisses Brownie Skillet Kit looks great until you realize that your buying a little skillet you can't use on the range. Well, unless you use a pot holder.

The things are a lot of work for a flavorless end product that leaves you with an iron skillet that is very small and has almost no use.  

If you're a foodie like me then you may wish to have these around for making those cookie ice cream things you get at BJ's, but you would need to do a good amount of experimentation to get that write and I'm too fat to eat all that cookie. 
 

Friendly Farms Pumpkin Spice Whipped Dairy Topping

 Friendly Farms Pumpkin Spice Whipped Dairy Topping is a thing that shows up at Aldis in October and runs until it sells out. This is a great thing to put on coffee that is not pumpkin spice or pie that is not pumpkin spice. However, if you put it on something that is already pumpkin spice you are kind of missing the point.

Ah, well, I shouldn't be eating it anyway.

Monster Reserve White Pineapple

 Monster Reserve White Pineapple works like a monster and tastes like any pineapple energy drink would. I mean, you can tell it's not soda and it doesn't taste as good as a soda would, but keeps me working on those overnight shifts which is why I got a case of the stuff.

Joe's Dark Coffee

 When this headache of a world starts to get you down you can turn to Joe's Dark Coffee with it's smooth finish. If fresh and stored properly Joe's Dark Coffee is not bitter or stale. I love Joe's Dark Coffee and will buy it again.

Wiley Wallaby Watermelon Licorice Twists

 Wiley Wallaby Watermelon Licorice Twists don't really taste like watermelon. This is a shame because they are otherwise rather good. I have to say that they are a nice thing to have around and a quick snack. I shouldn't eat them because I'm a big fat dude, but life is short right?

Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale

If you want to add something festive to your cheap vodka then Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale has you covered. It has a stronger tarter flavor that will hide the badness of lesser vodkas. I wouldn't say I like it better than good old normal Ginger Ale, but this is a seasonal thing. 

This is a fun thing to try, and I would get more. It just won't replace my normal Canada Dry.

Chips Ahoy Golden Candy Chip

 Chips Ahoy! Golden Candy Chip are not an improvement over classic chocolate chip cookies. They're, well, just kind of there. I remember eating Chips Ahoy! as a child. My mother used to take a cookie at of the bag in the store to get at the coupon then give me the cookie. Mom loved coupons. 

These just don't have the same taste and they don't bring a smile to my face they way those cookies did.

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Alfredo Sauce

 For those of you trying to get the pumpkin flowing through your blood this season there is Trader Joe's Pumpkin Alfredo Sauce. It doesn't taste all that great, but what did you expect? Pumpkin doesn't belong in Alfredo sauce. I would have liked it to have more flavor what so ever, but it wasn't creamy or all that savory.

This stuff just is, and that's fine, but I wouldn't get more.

Pepsi Cola Soda Shop Black Cherry Cola

 Coming in from Pepsi Cola  we have their Soda Shop Black Cherry Cola meant to bring very old people back to a time when they had soda shops. I mean, I've never been to a soda shop so I have no idea if this would bring me back to that time, but here this stuff is tasting like, well, cherry cola. Not good cherry cola, but cherry cola indeed. 

I can say this stuff is worth trying, but I wouldn't get more. 

Hormel Compleats Chichen Brest Mahsed Potatoes with Gravy

 Had with an apple or a good plate of vegetables Hormel Compleats Chicken Brest Mashed Potatoes with Gravy is actually a good meal. Not a great meal, but a good one. They taste fine, and I will buy them again.

Melba's Fixins Apple Pie Soda

Melba's Fixins Apple Pie Soda is an overpriced novelty soda that tastes fine but is not worth the four or five dollars a bottle you'll wined up paying for the stuff. It tastes a bit like cider and cream soda mixed together. 

All in all, it's not bad, but I feel like I paid a kidney for it.
 

Sara Lee Cheesecake Creamy Classic

 

When you want a bite of cheesecake these Sara Lee Cheesecake Creamy Classics are just the right size. I have never just wanted a bite of cheesecake but then I am a big fat dude with emotional issues. Food doesn't make the pain go away. 

These are great little snacks that go well with coffee. They heat up fast and easy unlike full sized cheese cake. I love these and you will too.

Tillamook Birthday Cake Ice Cream

 Ice Cream in December? Yeah, I'm fat, and I live in LA. In any case, Tillamook Birthday Cake Ice Cream is vanilla with stuff in it. That stuff is bits of cake and sprinkles, but it gives it an odd mouth feel.

I know this birthday cake flavor is making the rounds, but I have yet to be impressed. This is okay ice cream, not great, but okay.

Seattle Chocolate Toffee Sea Salt Truffle Bar

 The Toffee Sea Salt Truffle Bar from Seattle Chocolate is brimming with toffee and salt, but I don't like what they use for Vanilla. It is natural but just not the same and for the hefty price of this bar you would think it would come with the best ingredients. 

This is still a fine chocolate and best had with a certain amount of pomp. This is the kind of thing you have with wine and you let that wine breathe. 

Good stuff but pricey. 

El Monterey Beef Tamales

El Monterey Beef Tamales are hand rapped in real corn husk ... as if that were a big thing. What else would you wrap a tamale in?
 

Most frozen tamales are sad shadows of the real thing, but these are close to the real thing. Not as good as, but close. They still need to have more grit to them and real tamales have that little bit that gets between the corn husks. 

So, very close, very good, but still just not perfect.

Heirloom Fresh Free Range Blue and Brown Chicken Eggs

 Heirloom Fresh Free Range Blue and Brown Chicken Eggs have a darker yolk and stronger flavor than your standard white egg. They are more satisfying than normal chicken eggs and better for the chicken. If you come across these eggs they will cost a bit more than normal eggs, but it is worth the money. 

Eggs are for the most part eggs, and so not everyone will notice the difference. Then, not everyone will think it is enough to pay more for.
