Carl’s Jr. Vanilla Ice Coffee

 Ice is not a word you use now days without getting into a long conversation about politics. I don’t like the fact that ICE deported my gardener. He was gone a whole two weeks. 

Anyway, this Vanilla Ice Coffee from Carl’s Jr. is a lot better than the ICE that gave my gardener a hard time but I found it to be watery and lacking in flavor. I didn’t dislike it at all but I didn’t like it either. Needed more flavor to go with the water. 

McDonald’s Changeables Fergon

 McDonald’s has their own transformers line called Changeables and Fergon was the one that came in my Happy Meal. I’m not sure I like Fergon. In addition to sounding like some kind of hair remover for raccoons the transformation isn’t much and I can see this thing being much other than a display piece. 

I’ll grant you that when I was a kid I played with sticks so I guess. I mean, this is okay but it just doesn’t look like a lot of fun to me. 

Glico Pocky's Chocolate Cream Filled Biscuit Sticks

Glico Pocky's Chocolate Cream Filled Biscuit Sticks are Japanese cookies that are on the interesting side of things. Interesting is always good when it comes to food so if you come across them they are a good thing to try. 

I can't say you should go looking for them, but they are good.
 

Aldi's Football Shaped Pizza

 For the big game Aldi’s has you covered with this Football Shaped Pizza. It’s the kind of pizza that comes out over done and would be better made from scratch but then when isn’t that true.

All in all, these are more fun to see than they are to eat and I wouldn’t go eating them because they don’t have enough cheese and the toppings are just not that great.

Set one of these out on your table this football day and have a dip to go with it.

Everyone will have fun but they will like the dip better than the pizza.

 

McDonald's Hot Honey Sausage Egg Biscuit

 Disappointment on a bun, the McDonald's Hot Honey Sausage Egg Biscuit is just kind of there. It has flavors that mix poorly and aren't strong enough to stand as a real improvement. The clown's sausage has always been a little too soft and needed more spice, but adding the hot honey just makes it taste funny.

There is a feeling of standing heat that grows as you eat and stays with you, but unless that flavor is what you're looking for this will disappoint. 

Fail.  

Nissin Fire Wok Screamin Beef

 Nissin Fire Wok Screamin Beef is that kind of pot noodle where you don’t keep the broth. You lose most of the broth so that you can spread the powder over it and it can have more flavor.

I’m not the biggest fan of noodles without broth and the way I cook noodles, as you can see, hides them under vegetables.

That said, these are a little disappointing in the flavor department, and I wouldn’t call them hot. I don’t really like spicy food. Still, I would have expected these to have more kick than they did.

Johnsonville Turkey Polish Kielbasa

Can you make Kielbasa out of Turkey? Is it right to call Kielbasa Polish? I mean, is there not polish Kielbasa?

 

These are the questions I ask myself as I eat this Johnsonville Turkey Polish Kielbasa. I would say it has less oil and flavor than normal Kielbasa but then what does not Polish Kielbasa taste like?

 

Anyway, this stuff is okay but it’s hard to get it to heat up evenly and so may need more oil than other sausage. Otherwise, I would get it again.

 

 

D-Plus Baked Wheat Cake With Sweet Red Bean Paste

D-Plus Baked Wheat Cake With Sweet Red Bean Paste is a Japanese pastry with a sweet mush in the middle that is made of red beans. I would call the whole thing gently flavored but what flavor it has is good enough. 

I can't say these are the best offering from D-Plus, but I can say that I like them.
 

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mac Attack Pizza

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mac Attack Pizza is not as good as pizza you would make and add Mac and Cheese to. I mean, it was good but not as good as it would have been had I added mac and cheese to cheese pizza.

It has cheese sauce instead of tomato and the noodles can get hard in the oven. 

Past that, this is rather good.

Kelloggs Strawberry Milkshake Frosted Flakes

Kelloggs Strawberry Milkshake Frosted Flakes are an odd idea when you think about it. I mean, without milk do they still taste like milkshake?

I can't say these are much better than normal Frosted Flakes but it has been more than ten years since I've had them and I wouldn't get more. 

I like good old Cornflakes just fine.  

If strawberry is your thing these are fine but they will not outshine the normal version. 
 

BTS Cold Brew Coffee

 BTS Cold Brew Coffee is the kind of unoffensive cold brew that you can have with anything. I can't say it knocked my socks off, but I can't say there was anything wrong with it either.

Jelly Belly Chocolate Sparkling Water

I don't know what humanity did to deserve this Jelly Belly Chocolate Sparkling Water but I got three cans of it and it was hard to get them down. Who thought this was a good idea. Chocolate doesn't taste good on its own. That's why we add so much sugar.

This was just nasty, smelled good, but man was it bad. 

Wienerschnitzel Chili Cheese Fries Burrito

Wienerschnitzel Chili Cheese Fries Burrito is an odd bird in the world of food because fries get soggy in burritos and so this has to be eaten when it's fresh. Ten minutes later its just not worth eating. 

I can't say I like the chili either because it should be called chili sauce as it has almost no heft. 

I wouldn't get this again.

The Greek Gods Maple Greek Style Yogurt

 Greek Gods Maple Greek Style Yogurt sat in my refrigerator for two years before I finally got it out and had it with fruit and bananas. I guess that after two years the maple flavor  must have left because I couldn’t taste any maple.

I will say that has yogurt goes this was just fine. I would stay away from the sugar version of this thing to start with, but as yogurt goes it was okay. I wouldn’t call it worth looking for, but fine.

 

Banquet Fried Chicken Frozen Meal

 About five years ago I tried the Banquet Fried Chicken Frozen Meal and I thought it was crap. Now I have health issues that make eating like that a bad idea so I have to be a bit healthier. This time around I added carrots and celery and used them the scoop up the bashed potatoes and corn.

 

I even used the carrots to cut the chicken, yes it worked, and ate almost the whole thing without a fork.

 

I have to admit that by adding two simple things I made the meal much better. I mean, I had to take the whole thing out of the tray and microwave it on the dish to get the best result. To be dead honest, I would do this again. It was good and filling.

 

These are bad on their own but when eaten with a more balanced diet they aren’t bad.

White Castle Chicken Breast Sliders

  White Castle Chicken Breast Sliders are the best sliders I have ever had from White Castle. They are the first ones I didn’t hate. I didn’t think they were all that great but I didn’t think they were all that bad. I wouldn’t go getting these again but I was happy to finish off the box.

Panamei Seafood Swai (Basa) Fillet

Panamei Seafood Swai Fillets are just a form of the not so cool sounding Basa which is a cat fish. The good news is that this cat fish is a plant feeder so it will have a better flavor than one of its carnivore cousins. It’s still a catfish so it’s not the best eating.

Past being long and so hard to cook this is a bland delicate fish that isn’t perfectly flaky unless cooked well. It will take on the flavor of what you cook it with. I found the lemon flavor subtle and the butter to be a good fat to add to this fish.

All in all, I would get this again.

 

 

Subway Chipotle Southwest Sauce

Subway Chipotle Southwest Sauce is not hot sauce. I wouldn't call it hot at all really but I would say that it can add flavor to your food. As I'm not much of a fan of sauces I can't say if this is a good one but I can say that it was unoffensive. I would chose it over mustered, but I wouldn't mined it on my sandwich. 
 

Peter Pan Natural Creamy Peanut Butter

Peter Pan Natural Creamy Peanut Butter is just peanuts and salt. The only reason to buy this is if Peter Pan brings a smile to your face. There is nothing wrong with this peanut butter. 

I would say this is a fine peanut butter to buy but don't think it will keep you young.
 

Reign Storm Harvest Grape Energy Drink

Reign Storm Harvest Grape Energy Drink tastes like sugar free grape candy. I’m not sure I like sugar free grape candy, but I think energy drink should be good enough to drink but not so good as you drink it just for the flavor.

In the crappy light shows of the bad music raves this over candy stuff will really keep the night pumping.

 Not bad really, I would get more if they still had them at the Dollar Tree.
