Nature Valley Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Creamy Wafer Bars

Nature Valley Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Creamy Wafer Bars are a bit lighter than what I remember Nature Valley bars to be like. I'd still call them candy and I don't think they have the same benefits. 

They taste fine, but the chocolate isn't as rich and I would think it should be and the flavor isn't very chocolate. 

As with most granola bars, these really don't fill you up. I would say that they do work as food on the go but are still fall and should still be thought of as junk food. 

Eat in moderation but not bad.  
 

Lay's Honey Butter Potato Chips

 When I got these Lay's Honey Butter Potato Chips they were well within their expiration date but didn't taste as fresh as normal Lay's. They didn't have as much flavor as the original and were subdued. 

This is not to say they were bad. They were fine. I wouldn't get them over the original. 

Carl’s Jr. Lemonade

Carl’s Jr. Lemonade is well, lemonade, it has the quality of being lemonade only it’s on the pithy side tastes like more of the lemon than was right got into the mix. I don’t think much of it. I wouldn’t recommend it and I wouldn’t get it again. 

 

Kindling Power Twists Dill Pickle Pretzels

 Kindling Power Twists Dill Pickle Pretzels are a good thing to have if you buy your avocados at the discount store and need to eat them in short order. 

Kindling Pretzels in general tend to be dry and unpleasant to eat without dip. I have never been big on dipping pretzels, but I have never been big on pretzels. 

Anyway, yeah, they taste like pickles. I detect no dill but then dill can be mild an overshadowed by other flavors.

I don't get the whole "tastes like pickle" thing, but if you run that way these are for you.  

McDonald's Strawberry Watermelon Refresher

 McDonald's Strawberry Watermelon Refresher is more than four dollars of sugar water for a medium. You can have two of these or a twelve pack of your top soda.

As for flavor, I can't taste the watermelon but the strawberry is there. I'll grant that those strawberry are freeze dried and feel funny in hour mouth, but they are real. 

If there is one thing we should all stop doing it's buying soda at fast food places. They cost too much and are bad for us. This is the latest effort from the clown to empty your wallet. 

Don't let him do it! 

Stouffer's Bowl-Fulls Slow-Roasted Steak & Potatoes

Stouffer's Bowl-Fulls Slow-Roasted Steak & Potatoes is almost as much water as it is Frozen Meal. You need to cook the crap out of it before the mashed potatoes, that's right mashed, are firm enough to not be soup. 

Now the meat is some of the worst scraps I've had in a long time. This beef should have become hamburger rather than been served like this. 

I would call this small, but it really is poorly balanced anyway so I wouldn't call it a meal.  

If you're going to eat this you probably have little choice in the matter and I feel for you. Let's hope the economy gets better and Americans remember that this isn't really food.  
 

Zipfizz Energy Drink Powder Pina Colada

Zipfizz is a dry energy supplement that fizzes up when you put it in water. The Pina Colada flavor is interesting, but I’ve never had a Pina Colada so I can’t say how much it tastes like the real thing.

I had one with a shot of vodka and it was good enough for me to ask a friend to try.

I’m a big fan of the Zipfizz, because I can keep a few in my work bag and have them when I need them. Good stuff really.

 

 

Frontera Chicken Fajita Bowl Frozen Meal

Frontera Chicken Fajita Bowl is the kind of Frozen "Meal" that doesn't have enough of the most basic ingredients. Sure it has piles of onions and bell peppers but the chicken, rice, and beans were missing. 

To be fair they had a few but just not enough to make this worth eating. I have to say this was small, sad, and almost flavorless. 

If you like squishy bell pepper then by all means eat this, but if you want a Fajita Bowl this just isn't your party.  
 

Jones Watermelon Soda

 Jones Watermelon Soda isn’t the best watermelon soda that I’ve ever had. It tastes more like rind than watermelon and it’s more tart than it should be. I’ve made watermelon smoothies with nothing but watermelon and coconut water and they taste like what this should be.

I’m not that impressed but it isn’t bad.

Armour LunchMakers Turkey & Cheese, Crackers & Butterfinger

At two hundred Calories these Armour LunchMakers Turkey & Cheese, Crackers & Butterfinger things should all them selves snack makers. I wasn't expecting much but a small human would need ten of these a day. 

The cheese is cheese and the crackers are crackers so I figure they are about as good or bad as they may be, but that turkey is so poor quality that it should be in government. I'll grant that these things weren't right out of the refrigerator, but dang, that turkey was sweating so hard it could have been on the Epstein List.

Small, cheap, and with little substance these would only be worth feeding to a three year old. I wouldn't put this in your child's lunch.       
 

Odyssey Classic Cola Sparkling Energy Drink

 Odyssey Cola is almost cola. It isn't cola in terms of Coke of Pepsi but it is kind of cola like. I may try adding this to some cola and seeing what happens. 

Anyway, this is a way to get your caffeine with the mushrooms that people say are so good for you. It has Lion's Mane and Cordyceps. I didn't feel any major change after drinking this so if you think this is some kind of magic super drink you're wrong.

I mean, it was fine, I wouldn't have called it good, but it had a lot less sugar than cola normally has so I guess it has it's merits.  

Kindling Power Twists Sea Salt Pretzels

Kindling Power Twists Sea Salt Pretzels are some kind of health food that I don't understand. You take pretzels, okay, not good for you, they you do something that makes them taste, um, dry. 

I can't say they taste bad but just dry and kind of ashy. I didn't care for them until I got out an avocado and used these to scoop it out of it's skin. 

With avocado the dryness went away and these were okay. I don't think I'd get them again. I don't know how these are better, but maybe I'll wake up tomorrow feeling really good.   
 

7-Eleven Quesadilla Salvadorena

 7-Eleven Quesadilla Salvadorena is an odd bird indeed. Made from Cotija, which is a cow milk cheese I have never had, it heavy and thick with a strong flavor and chewy bits. 

I must say that this was something worth trying if only because it's different than other products. It's still on the wet side and has bits that stay in the wrapper, but I thought it was delightful.  

I'll grant that at four hundred and forty Calories it should be. I mean, good as this was I should never eat one again... or at least only eat them on days when I work out.  

McDonald's Stranger Things Happy Meal Toys Mike

 Number 7 on the McDonald's Stranger Things Happy Meal Toys list Mike Wheeler here is a toy I wouldn't take much joy in if I were still a kid. There is very little to play with here and that pink box it comes in make me look up the character to see if he was they gay one. 

These feel a little flat. I guess the fact that they come with the box should make them better, but I don't know if kids would really want to play with the box. 

All in all, I'm not impressed. 

Doritos Sweet Tangy BBQ Tortilla Chips

 Few snacks are as wonderful as Doritos. I love them so much. Haven't had them in a spell, but I'm a blob and shouldn't eat them anyway. 

Doritos Sweet Tangy BBQ Tortilla Chips are what you get when you take something great and make it okay. I mean, I'm learning that chips and avocado are a poor mix but Doritos are more something you eat on their own than with dip.

Anyway, this have all the mess of getting that stuff that looks like radio active bee pollen on my hands, but have none of the cheese goodness of their namesake.   

It may just be that these are too different from what I expected, but it may also be that this flavor is just not a good combination.   

Fail. 

McDonald's Dirty Dr. Pepper

 Oh, the price we pay for sugar water. This sugar water is around four bucks for a medium and they call it McDonald's Dirty Dr. Pepper. I must say that if I weren't getting ripped off this would be really good. 

It has vanilla cream and cold phome giving it a thick mocha like taste and texture. Stuff is bad for you and costs too much but I have to say it tastes great. 

7-Select Mini Powdered Donuts

7-Select Mini Powdered Donuts are kind of basic fair. I mean, these are the powdered doughnuts that I have eaten many a time before in a different package. If that isn't true they sure fooled me.

In any case, these are what I would expect and would mention that they can get powdered sugar on your uniform and around your work. This could attract ants. 

Past that, classic.  
 

Snack n' Go Dustin figure

 This is #6 of the Stranger Things Happy Meal toys and I think this is part of the cartoon spinoff because I have no idea where this fits into the plot. That blue thing is a plastic box that looks like something that I'm sure comes from the cartoon.

All in all, this is okay. I mean, I wouldn't call it cool. I wouldn't call it fun, but hey, this is a crappy toy that comes with a meal.  

Lay's Potato Chips Kettle Cooked Mesquite BBQ

  Kettle Cooked Lay's tend to be harder than normal Lay's and not as greasy. I guess if you like to dip your chips these are good, but they don't do as well as normal Lay's.

Now the Cooked Mesquite BBQ are something of a fail as the flavor just wasn't as strong as it needed to be. I mean, I didn't taste mesquite and there wasn't much sage. 

I figure these are okay, not great, but okay.  

7-Eleven Brookie

 The last thing I tried from 7-Eleven that was like this made me sick but the Brookie honestly redeemed the brand for me. This was moist with chunks of chocolate and some cookie to go along with it. It didn't have the caramelization of a true brownie but it was so much better than the last thing that I can forgive that.

Would I get this again? No, still too many Calories for me, but I enjoyed it a good deal.  

Vincent van Gogh Virtual Challenge

The Vincent van Gogh Virtual Challenge from the Conqueror Challenges is kind of an odd bird in that it comes with these three images that fit inside the magnetic latch.  

The thing I don't care for is that these aren't the kind of thing that will stand the test of time. I mean, wash the thing and forget they're in there and you mess them up. Open this after fifty years and you just have to ask what these really are.

I don't know. Love van Gogh, but I'm not sure about this thing. I'm an adult and I don't want stickers.   
 

7-Eleven Walnut Fudge Brownie

 If your grabbing a 7-Eleven Walnut Fudge Brownie off the rack you should look twice because they are shelved with other stuff. I thought I was getting two of the same thing and ended up with one. 

Then again, at more than four hundred Calories these are heavy, dry, and bad for you. You can't just eat one of these and they would go better with milk than coffee. Oh, how I wish I had cold milk with this thing.

Anyway, these are so fail. Brownies are, well, and art. They need to be baked just so, and corner bits are better than middle bits. Above all they should be rich and moist. 

Even drinking this with black coffee, it just didn't taste like this much food should.   

McDonald's Sprite Berry Blast

The McDonald's Sprite Berry Blast is overpriced sugar water. This thing was over four dollars and I could have gotten a whole meal at some places for the same. I do believe MRE's get as low as that on Amazon. 

It tastes like blue raspberry, which should not be a thing, and the cream is not at all worth adding.

Did I mention that is was a medium? At two hundred and ninety Calories this could have sent me into a coma. 

I don't know why anyone would drink this. If you have the money to burn go get better food. 
 

7-Eleven Cheesecake Bread

 I think I need to take a different mug to work. This one looks to Easter. 

 I wanted coffee with my 7-Eleven Cheesecake Bread and because 7-Eleven is close to my work I've been taking these pictures there because I have few other options for eating on the job. 

Anyway, Cheesecake Bread is not made with a lot of cream cheese so it's a lot lighter then cheesecake. It gets crumbs everywhere. It hasn't the tartness of cheesecake which would make the flavor recognizable.

I have to say that this is a nice thing to have, but I would have rather had it with a fork and on a plate with some sort of sauce to hold down the crumbs. 

I would have compared it to sponge cake but I haven't had sponge cake in years. My memory is a little fuzzy on the subject.    

Turtle Chips Chocolate Churros

Turtle Chips Chocolate Churros are like little bits of churro that only lake the warmth and soft innards of a real churro. I almost wish I could try these with milk.

I love these little crisps and would buy more were they still available at my local market. Crunchy and dynamic these are a must try snack.
 

7‑Eleven Mini Chocolate Donuts

7‑Eleven Mini Chocolate Donuts come in a six pack and are just not that impressive. I guess I never expected them to be, but you should never think too much about gas station doughnuts. 

These are the kind of thing you eat when you're hungry and you need something to have with your coffee. They go just fine with coffee. 

These are made of yellow cake so I don't think they are proper doughnuts. However, I will say they do appear to have real chocolate frosting even if there isn't much chocolate in there. 

I got these for no other reason than they were an easy thing to review and I wouldn't get them again because I'm a big fat dude who doesn't need more cake. Still, these are okay.  
 

Langers LyteAde Orange

Langers LyteAde Orange is Gatorade with caffeine I'm not a big fan of Gatorade, but this is the same idea. It has a watery flavor but you can tell there is some orange in there.

In any case, if I had known there was caffeine in there I likely would have gotten a few more of these. As it stands they taste okay. I wouldn't go looking for more but if you need that boost to keep in in the game this may just have it.  

All and all, not bad, not good, just there.  
 

Barq's Red Creme Soda

I have never understood creme soda. I have never had much love for it nor have I ever gotten the idea of a cream soda being, well, yellow. It turns out that cream soda is a different color dependent on what country you go to.

Cream is white, people!

Anyway, red cream soda looks to be cherry cream. It doesn't taste like cream soda, but it tastes like what we call cream soda with some cherry in it.

I feel like I should try soda with cream to find out what it should taste like.

This stuff is okay.  
 

Wheat Thins Original Crackers

May the 4^th is Star Wars day and as I have no want for more Star Wars crap these Star Wars boxed Original Wheat Thins will have to do. I mean, what do you even do with Wheat Thins?

As a kid I just ate them out of the box. I was a dumb kid with no supervision so I didn’t know that crackers needed stuff on them.

I went through two boxes of these before finally saving them for a review. I love Wheat Thins and they are delicious. Then I had them with salami and cheddar and they were even better. I mean, Wheat Thins have a burst of salt that you can taste that really bring out any other flavor. I can’t get enough so I shouldn’t buy any more.

 

Jarritos Passion Fruit soda

In all fairness the Jarritos Passion Fruit soda I had was kind of old and should have been drank long before I opened the bottle. I have to say it tasted natural. Now days we add so much sugar to things that you kind of expect them to be like candy but this was like fruit. It tastes as I would imagine a wild passion fruit to taste.

Jarritos is a good quality soda, but this flavor may not appeal to Americans as it’s a little too true to form. I would even compare this to Japanese soda which is just not as sweet. I don’t know if I’d get it again but if real fruit was your jam this would be in your sandwich.

This tastes as if it would pear best with rum.
